I absolutely loved this practical approach to vlogging - even down to the equipment, only invest where you need to because even the most basic equipment can do magic! I've vlogged a few times now and it was awkward at first but being able to show more of your personality really helps you connect to the audience. Another fab video Lily! Lauren x

I can relate to you. I'm still in the process of overcoming my fear of vlogging in public. You are right! The content is more important than minding the people around you while vlogging.
I love your vlogs especially their length! I don't know the 5min recommendation and what it's based on but I prefer the 13-18 min vlogs and yours are always entertaining and that's why I am subscribed! Wish you all the best!
So true about the deleting or not recording extra footage. Same with me in my vlogs when editing it, it gets annoying when you find clips you recorded that you're not even going to use

I'm watching this like so later on but, good advice. I'm trying to vlog daily, the thing I feel is there are so many vloggers out there that 'seem' to be doing amazing things all the time does someone really want to watch my honest point of view or creating a trail of memories as I work towards my goals. Such an interesting video Lily, thank you so much. For me it gets really akward when I have to raise my voice too much, but that happens when I'm talking to someone too so it's kinda normal. I don't think I change my mood or how I'm feeling when I vlog or film a normal video but that somehow I just start feeling happier when talking to the camera, if that makes any sense...
Thank you for the helpful tips! It sounds funny, but when I first started vlogging, I struggled really hard holding the camera at the sides. I always had clips where you couldn't hear me talking, because my hand was over the microphone haha :)
