For Miami, definitely a special year with Cam, but unfortunate how bad our defense became. Next year, I think we'll have a still very solid offense, and a potentially much better D. So I think still a great chance to get 9 to 12 wins.
I think a healthy Carson Beck would do good with the O line and young Talented WRs we have not to mention our Run game is special only thing for Miami that needs to be fixed hopefully it will is that defense
The reason why I believe in Florida (regardless of if I’m a fan of them) is because there’s a clear culture and identity there in Gainesville. You go into the swamp and it’s like hell to play in. Even when we were expected to be nobodies last year we ruined play off caliber teams chance at contention. We’re like the dog that’s got its teeth into you and doesn’t let go even if you kick us, we’re taking the limb. Lagway is the best QB in the state and will be one of the best in the nation this year. That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if Miami had the best record of the 3 because the ACC objectively is a much easier conferences but Florida will be the strongest team in the state.
Florida didn’t get better because they switched quarterbacks. Their offense was still mediocre with Lagway. It was their defense that carried them in the second half of the season. A defense that lost a ton of players and added nobody from the portal. Plus Billy Napier is still their coach. They’re a 7 win team
I don’t think control for any of the big 3 is anything but consistent. All 3 have coaches who will be perpetually on a luke warm to hot seat every season….
I think Miami is the closest, and it's just about money. When the stuff about the last NIL collective came out and it looked like they were folding people questioned how Miami would keep up. Then Beck's numbers came out and it was like, oh they still have bags, don't know where from but they have them. Unless NIL rules change drastically over the next few years it seems like Miami has the most monetary support in the state (just like I think SMU is going to be catching up to a lot of teams in Texas with the amount of money they're able to raise). In a purely TV package driven economy Florida has the clear edge. If the SEC and B1G figure out a way to reestablish that their TV deals meaning more then everyone else is screwed. It's not just that they're in the SEC though, there's some real talent on the Gators and overall they're probably closest. They just struggle to pull in the pieces they're missing without good NIL funding, at least not as good as what Miami seems to have, and they have the good and bad luck of being in the SEC. That's a tough road, even in a down year it was a tough road. It just alters the perception of their performance. Miami beating the snot out of them also changed that narrative real quick for this year at least. If you see a repeat performance out of the gators next year, they might fall harder than FSU did this year (no they won't, that's something few will ever achieve again going forward, and absolutely astounding tumble). I don't know what's wrong with FSU, but it's clear they don't have the funding/backing the other two state of Florida teams have. They weren't just missing on portal gets, they were getting outbid consistently. Something either needs to change there or they need to take a different approach. Miami, right now, can play the fill a void with a portal player game because they can afford to. If that's how Norvell plans on building his teams every year, he's in trouble. I think Cristobal has also done an excellent job of making sure the core of his team is recruited and developed in house (ie that offensive line).
FSU was just 13-0 in the regular season in 2023. Was that because they were severely“outspent”? Your argument has so many flaws that you’re comical. Even with a Heisman caliber qb and $20M roster they still missed the playoffs and won several games they probably should’ve lost. Miami had better keep pulling up with the Brinks trucks, otherwise they’re done.
@@malikprince3305 you’re thinking of Osu on that salary, and yeah Miami spent and in 2 years went from 5-7 to 10-2 (regular season). When I say outspend, I mean that there were dudes last year FSU definitely swung and missed on, but do you think DJU was their number one option on their board when Will Howard and Cam Ward were out there? Really my point is this, Norvell is a better coach than Mario on the field, but he’s trying to build a portal team without as much money as Mario. They have a lot of dudes transfer in for that perfect 13-0 and it proved it could work, with the right dudes. Maybe the situation is different on the back end and fsu just missed paying a lot more, but it sounds like every time someone has ended up on Miami the last two years, one of the also rans was FSU and Mario’s coaching was not the reason fsu lost that battle.
@ FSU never pursued Will Howard, and they waited for Cam Ward before he ultimately chose the NFL draft but received a bad draft grade and chose to return to college. And you said FSU would go 2-10 last year? Doubtful. You don't know
FSU messed when they didnt hire Deion Sanders
@B23rie oh because only Deion can do it lol 🙄
@@brett8078 Deion got 5 star Travis Hunter the best player in the country to commit to Jackson State.
Imagine what Deion could’ve done for his alma mater FSU.
Deion didn’t graduate from Florida state……. He said it himself he’s not a nole 🤣🤣
It’s important for all teams to get a good QB sir! Not just Miami! Go CANES!🙌🏾🙌🏾
GO NOLES #MIKEGOTUS 🍢🍢

😂
Fl still gon be trash
Gators have an overrated unproven mid fat qb.
5-0 as a starter keep crying 😂
@joshp9493 12-10 td int got carried by defense fat mid qb. 😁
@joshp9493 gotta love the haters. Can't say anything about their own squad that's how trash they are lmao
@@TMonee321 almost 2k yards passing only playing half the season on ONE LEG. Bolstered UF to victories over ranked SEC teams fighting for playoff spots. I’ll forgive 9* (not 10) INTs given he’s a freshman, and again, playing on one leg. You can keep crying if you’d like though, we all enjoy the sound of it 🥹
@joshp9493 so let's forgive the tds against the fbs schools too lol yall funny
😎🙌🏾
Miami couldn’t win the All Cupcake Conference with the best offense in the nation and FSU was just an embarrassment. UF running the state 🐊
ACC a lot better than you think sec overrated
Billy Napier will find a way to screw it up just wait and then the gators fanbase will be calling for his head once again
@Mario and Mike are equal screw ups… if not worse lol
@@blameitonkj4882 lol you guys were supposed to run the state long time ago when Miami and FSU were down and have been down only FSU came up 13 and 1 Last year you guys had top Recruiting Classes for years over Miami and FSU but still cant run the state will see this year again the hype job on The Florida Gators
@ we literally fired our coach for piss poor recruiting classes. Miami hasn’t literally done anything of note in 20 years. Both UF and FSU have won nattys and conference championships in that time. Miami hasn’t even been to a conference championship game. Even with the best QB and offense in the nation they still come up short.
UCF
All about state FSU Florida State!! 2025 FSU football will win a minimum 11 games! Coaching hires and portal players are undeniable at this point.
im hoping this is sarcasm
@@luigigreen9823 FSU sucks lol
😂 I want what you are having
@@jahendrix1543 😆 fr
DELUSIONAL. QB WAS BENCHED TWICE AT SORRY BC AND QUIT ON HIS TEAMATES. AVERAGE COACHING STAFF AVERAGE TALENT AT BEST LOSING SEASONS COMING AS LONG AS NORVELL IS HERE
Good Governor, bad football
It's UF and it's not even close. Miami wasn't even a "wonder" last season. The ACC was just incredibly dog shit and they still couldn't manage to win it. Carson beck is half the QB cam ward was and Miami's best receiver (the only reason they won 3 of those games) is gone. Florida wins.
Florida Gator fans are delusional
FSU baby $4 million for a one armed quarterback that’s gonna be trouble. That’s another DJ U.
Billy is done lol yall will see
FSU baby
