Im tamilian bro dont think avg Tamil movies make me to watch at all.. Then some big budgets like 2.0 Leo master were good as family watch. But i do find lots of problem witht the plot so was my perception with telugu films like bahubali rrr etc. .. It's not language or hate..far from it. As standing on Tamil audience side , I stay with your point. But Kalki had a good writing for the main plot, conflict, concept etc. its writing failed only in creating scenes. Even though I enjoyed interval block writing and climax ❤. But as Tamil audience we have to accept even Telugu cinema is ready to come up with new ideas. But I think kollywood is stucked somewhere. When I watched this film in theatre just the intro pulled me into the film as an atheist myself I really loved how they portrayed the intro with Krishna and other characters especially Amitabh Bachchan stole the show but prabhas scenes were a complete cringe .yes,I could understand director want to show a selfish hero but there are a lot of sequences that he could have written instead of this shit and the climax was wow .But after the second half the prabhas character during the fight with Amitabh Bachchan was well choreographed .Once again I really like this film but ,it do have flaws which the fans must note it down and criticise it instead of shouting at the reviewers if they did any negatives

I'm a Malayali and I agree with what you said. There was a lot of fan service in the first half.
The 1st half Prabhas scenes were vere boring and cringe. The intro fight was the worst fight scene in the whole movie. Even Prabhas did better in all other fight scenes. The only think good about Prabhas's intro was when Buji showed "Rebel star" in hologram effect. Everything else was cringe.
But in second half I liked Prabhas's performance too. Especially after he turns to the evil side. That was a good twist and his serious acting was very convincing. But when he acts silly, it works sometimes and sometimes it's cringe.

hey i just wanted to voice my opinion about this debate (fyi am tamil), i saw the telugu version in imax with no subtitles understood like 90% of it and loved it with all its flaws, that middle part with all that cringe scenes till the song in the complex wasnt that bad in telugu thats brings us to main problem the tamil movie at the end of it is a dubbing movie and a lot was lost in translation. the biggest difference was the climax of the telugu and well received with people going crazy screaming out loud that made me forget the flaws in the end. one opinion i defer from the telugu and hindi audience is the music could have been better but i think SANA did a great job i always thought he was capable of pulling this off.
In my opinion Kalki is not bad movie 🤔 i really liked that concept it was really interesting to me but the character writing for the protagonist i felt bit weak when u see salar it has good writing for prabhas character but jere in kalki i felt a little low on his scenes so that doesnt feels lile it prabhas movie.
