I've been married for 50 years and one thing my mom drilled into me wayyyy back was....Girls Trips Are A Must..no matter how old you get! No matter how great your husband/significant other and kids are, there's just something magical about close friends and a trip with new adventures resets your basic self. You both look like you had a fabulous time....and I swear The Attic looks like a museum!!

Hubby & I have been married for 42 years, yes we holiday together but we also go by ourselves to different places. Steve rides a motorbike, I do too however Im not interested in camping much so he can go away with his mates and Im fine with that. Now my favourite holiday is to Bali, in Indonesia. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place AND they do batik fabrics!!! I bought home 10 kgs of fabric in my carry on last time we went there. Im going over next March, 1st trip since covid, and Steve is coming with me so it wont be a fortnight stay, only a week, but thats ok Im fine with that but I CANT WAIT!!! Loved all the haul everything is gorgeous!! Have a fab week and see you next flosstube 💋

This sounds like it was the best trip ever! You and Liz are just the cutest! Your Floral Motif Sampler is going to be STUNNING. Neps is pronounced like "hep" in "hepped up" lol and it is the little nubs of tweed in the yarn! Can't wait to see how it knits up!

Your hotel is like 16-17 miles South of us. Like the matching PJs. Glad you had a blast @ The Attic, Jean has a great shop & staff. Yes, 123 has Piecemakers, Attic probably does also. Harvest Tiny Town is the newest release. Beautiful Sampler, and they do great conversions. No 56-ct for me, but I've seen her wonderful pieces, all are just Wow! I think there is a 63-ct LOL. October Mist is very pretty. October House Fiber Art, hmmm Was it All Is Calm? or Deck the Halls?? Nice Haul.

On our way to Yuma in the RV and talked husband into changing the route. Will be there tomorrow. I keep a running list of things I see on various flosstubes along with threads I need for projects so I am always ready when we co e across a needlework shop. I added several more patterns after seeing your haul. As for the single skein of pumpkin yarn. I am making fingerless mitts for Christmas gifts this year. It would make a beautiful pair or two. I also have the small wool mat. Love it. I keep it stacked on top of my 10" design boards. I store them stacked and tied with a large piece of wide grosgrain ribbon. The wool mat allows me to use all my design boards by keeping the loose pieces on the top mat covered. It's great for pressing Lori Holt designs as I stitch.
All my favorite places. Did not know you were doing a meet and greet or I would have stopped by. Funny, I just laced my floral motif sampler. Putting a back on it so will hang it tomorr. I wouldn’t go with the 40 count, it really isn’t that big. I loved working on it.
Liz this is the first video I’ve seen showing how big The Attic actually is and I thank you for taking the time out of your vacation to film it! Everytime I see The Floral Motif Sampler shown on floss tube, I am in love all over again with its beauty. You showed those silk threads and I was in awe at how gorgeous yours will be! Just may have to add to cart soon😃. Loved seeing your haul of all the craft items you purchased and now I want to see Liz Matthews haul too ha ha ha! Stitchey friends are the very best next to quilting friends in my book! I do both crafts and love collecting threads, patterns and fabrics❤️
Girl trips are the best! Add in cross stitch, and nothing can compare! I’m so glad that the Lizes had a wonderful trip. As for Piecemaker needles, they’re the best in my opinion. I switched several months ago after @brendasamplerstitcher mentioned them. The thing I like best about them is that the eye is configured differently, and they’re easier to thread. I’m even using size 24 to stitch Jane Parson on 32ct with 1 strand Ginnie Thompson Flower Thread. Always love your videos! xx, Lee

I always love my girl trips! They are the best to rejuvenate! I am from Nottingham MD (just north of Baltimore) and those Berger cookies are so sweet. I can only eat half of one at a time. Liz should have brought you some of the goody with old bay seasoning.

The selection of frame molding was overwhelming. I would have to walk around three or four times just for my brain to take it all in and then it would be like “Sophie’s Choice” deciding what would make it home with me. What a lovely time you and Liz had on your girls getaway. Please plan another bucket list trip soon and take us all with you via the power of FlossTube. Thank you for sharing your time with us. I'm so jealous you got Berger cookies! We vacation at Ocean City, MD each year and can usually get them at a little convenience store down there. This year, I went everyday, and they were never restocked so I came home without any Berger cookies! Enjoy them!
I just discovered another use for the wool pressing mat. I can pin applique pieces to it to use as another design board. If you love your little one you shouuld get a bigger one. I think you'll find both very useful not just for pressing. Glad you had tons of fun on your girl's trip.

OH MY GOSH - Berger cookies! Every-time I go home to visit my parents I have to get a package (or maybe 2 or 3) of Berger cookies and maybe I will share them with my husband and kids.

It was so fun to hear the excitement in your voice telling us about yours and Liz's trip. Love your haul. Sometime you will have to show us how in the heck you stitch on linen with a 57 count!!! Your yarn has some delicious colors.
I haven’t ever stitched on 56 ct so we’ll have to see if I like it or can see it!!
