Welcome to Episode 18 of the Meeples & Miniatures Miniature Review show. In this show, I review the 1/72 German Mark IV tank box set from Plastic Soldier Company
The Plastic Soldier Company makes terrific products. I'll be building my Mark 4's as all H's with full turret schurzen and damaged hull side skirts. Their Bren Carrier and M5A1 Stuart are particularly great, but all of their products have been impressive. For 1:72 scale, I really have to mention S-Models and "First to Fight", both of which make outstanding fast build kits too. The really great thing about these kits is that they are simple to assemble, and you can literally spend more time painting them than building them. Also, Armourfast now has a Valentine available. The running gear is too basic, but no issue to anyone with even a basic spare parts box.
Would just like to point out that the plate on the rear of the tank with the exhaust on is on upside down in your picture. The two raised areas on the side of that plate are the housings for the rear axles......... Nice video though, thanks for posting.
another little mistake... the side skirts connect on the top of the deck, not the sides... and are your tracks on incorrectly? Mine fit perfectly with no visible seams love your podcast!
I broke the front axle of a British loyd carrier , I managed to fix it with super glue. It looks OK but but you can see the axle is slightly bowed . When you build your first kit out of the box, mistakes happen , but you do much better when you build the second kit out of the box.

Not only are the hull skirts mounted too low, the rear plate with the exhaust has been mounted upside down!
thank you neil still collecting past 47 years,
Thanks - I made a complete mess in assembling this model - hopefully the newer reviews/afvs are better!
OK, I admit it - I made a complete mess of assembling this model :-)
This was my first PSC tank - I've greatly improved in building them...
