Wooden Cabin Town: A Stunning Eco-Resort in China's Lushan Island | Architectural Marvel

🌳 Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Wooden Cabin Town, a remarkable eco-resort nestled in the lush landscapes of Lushan Island, China! 🏡✨ Join us as we explore this architectural marvel designed by Shanghai Parallect Architecture Studio, where nature seamlessly intertwines with stunning wooden cabins, an observation tower, and a multifunctional hall.
🌿 The project draws inspiration from the island's unique history, where the Xiu River once flowed, giving rise to the Xihai Barrage in the 1950s. Today, Wooden Cabin Town pays homage to this history, presenting a cluster of small wooden cabins seemingly floating above the jungle, creating an ethereal and sustainable retreat.
🏗️ The integration of the new building with the natural cork oak forest is a focal point, with the wooden cabins transported and assembled on the island, using the demolished materials as the foundation for the multifunctional hall. The master plan, shaped by the surrounding trees, creates a harmonious balance between the architecture and the environment.
🌲 The cabin modules, made of Hongxue pine wood, embrace the original wooden texture, fostering an intimate dialogue between the materials and the environment. The thoughtful design considers multiple functions, allowing for adaptability and evolution over time. The multifunctional hall, an enlarged version of the small cabins, acts as an "instruction" for future functions and is the only space introducing indoor functions in the town.
🏰 The steel structure observation tower stands as the highest point on the island, offering panoramic views of the lake area. The facade's anticorrosive wood grille, designed to reduce wind resistance, provides varying permeability from different angles, creating a captivating visual experience.
🌅 Wooden Cabin Town sparks our curiosity about its future, envisioning countless possibilities such as camping sites, homestays, drone obstacle races, hot air balloons, and nature classrooms.
