Thanks for video! I appreciate it! Very enlightening! I have just one observation. I love how these two Christian philosophers are in dialogue! I'm not sure however if the premise/induction propounded by the Lady is valid nor could it be. I say this because missing from this entire conversation is the Advent of Christ who was sent by The Father during that specific time knowing that Rome, Greece and Jerusalem were tethered to one another. Plainly put the cultural "context," was specifically chosen by God-Father Son and Holy Spirit for the purpose of using the symbols exclusive to those cultures to mediate Truth about Reality as it pertains to God, Creation and Man. It is a logical contradiction or at least would be to have a Christian Ethos somehow conflate with confucianism. One requires subjection to God's Character and Morality whereas the other? But then again it is easy to see within the church that thought has made it's way in...gnosticism in some of its various forms looks like an attempt. Liberal Christianity today looks a lot like it too. But a look back at Tradition curtails the movement!
Kilby's comments suggest that the very process of evangelizing the non western world is, and has been: --a form of cultural imperialism (not deliberate, but still active) --a closing off of other potential Christianities developing in non-western cultures that might enrich the whole. One thinks of the French Jesuits attempting to impose an onto-theo-logical set of decrees upon Native Americans in the 1600s, who simply didn't have that experience of life, while hearing very little about Native American traditions. If this is a correct interpretation, she has a point. However, at our moment in history, the horse may already be out of the barn. And NOT because of Christian missionaries as much as airplanes and you tube and iphones. And basketball! History is brutal. And intriguing. Efforts at inculturation are important. i truly hope the moment for this hasn't been lost. But Kilby may be too optimistic, given the situation today, which is the only one we have.

Namaste and love from a Hindu from India!🙏🇮🇳☮️☮️
I wonder how one's pneumatology (especially the Spirit's role in the historical unfolding of revelation) plays a role in this debate.

Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life nobody comes to the father except through him
My conclusion? Supernaturalism is a pseudo-philosophy. It's like astrology, compared with astronomy.
