DIY Quick Release Tripod Plate

In this project, I make a quick release tripod plate for my $1 thrift store tripod. I used spare wood and hardware I had laying around for this build.

This was so useful for my outdoor projector movie night...the old tripod I had was in the same predicament and this project got it working 🙌🏼 way better than setting it on a chair with books 😂 thanks

Well it looks like I will be digging through scrap and making one of these now, since the ''new in the box" tripod I just bought at Goodwill was missing one, don't feel like buying one on Amazon.

In the Uk the bolts generally on sale are metric. But the 1/4 inch 20 UNC thread can be found on the web.

Went to the store in morocco (metric system) with my camera and an image of the bolt, the shopkeeper straightforward gave me the right one.
