This is the first time I've ever seen Danny Bhoy. Brilliant. The fact that Michael McIntyre and Sarah Millican are household names and Danny isn't is a travesty.
Dude, I agree that Danny Bhoy should be a lot bigger than he is, but Sarah Millican is fucking hilarious and should ALSO be even bigger than SHE already is. Danny Bhoy is good - Sarah is better. By a good margin. (I'm not really familiar with McIntyre outside of chat shows, so eh.)
@@EndlessSummer888 I read somewhere that Danny Bhoy cites Billy Connelly as his main influence and every now and then, that shines through beautifully :-) Telling stories, not jokes.
hahahaha when I hear the 'club music' part and the cat I laugh so badly, I laugh my ass off completely, I was scared that I wake up my neighbours. Only cat owners know how true is this, mastery!
Bit of trivia: Most hymns are actually religious words set to traditional folk tunes so no. The writers of the lyrics and the music never collaborated as they usually lived centuries apart. This is also why Ding Dong Merrily On High is so bloody dumb with that "Gloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooria" line that goes on for 300 bars.
Anna, he said _”Ma’am, like jam”_ and she looked at him quizzically. 😂🤣😅😂 (There’s a prize for the first commenter to recognize WTF I’m talking about 😎)
The reason (at least here in Sweden) as for why the lyrics and music never "add up" is because the church took already excisting songs for their hymns, so that the people would already know how the music went. Usually it was old folk-songs or drinking songs. Which is quite funny I think ^^
The reasons why he's funny: 1. He doesn't use the typical racist lines that most comedians use. 2. He talks about a breadth of topics. ( Most comedians can be categorised into two subject lines based on the general make up of their lines : Race and Dirty Sex / Smut ) 3. Witty observations 4. Great delivery : Engaging storyteller ( see " Queen of England " )
That's only because many performances of Danny Bhoy have been recorded. A lot of his shows have been recorded 2, 3 or more times and most of this has been put up on TH-cam, so you might find the same joke many times, from different shows in different places.
there's another one with him talk about him meeting the queen :) if you search for it, i'm sure you would be able to find it. it's a worthwhile watch! :)
He's telling funny stories and laughing as he goes along.I do the same thing,I love to laugh at funny memories.Plus,he's funny as shit and deserves to laugh!
No I wasn't being sarcastic. I notice a lot of comedians overly swear to make themselves funny. (Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle, the late Richard Pryor, Dane Cook). This guy does swear but not as much as those men I've listed.
@cambo91 most comedians use the same thing over and over. What makes him different is his story telling and the new ways he tells the same joke. It is funny every time.
one of the best comedians on the international stage at this time. he's a very funny comic .
Funniest bloke I have seen for a long time....breath of fresh air!

@@austenhead5303 No, just no...
this guy is truly epic, never an unfunny moment
Now I know why he's hilarious. He doesn't tell jokes, he's telling anecdotes. People relate cause they've been there too. AWESOME..!!

Scotland's national anthem bit was pure genius! I crapped myself laughing. :))))
Lost my shit when he compared the club music to a cat being sick!! Laughed so hard I was crying!!!! This guy is hilarious!!!!

masey87 i cried from laughing
My condolences to your ass!
me and my husband watched this together and we were laughing so hard that we were both crying!
One of my favorite comedians now!
Wish I had some newer material to see!
"Father O'Brien said it looked quite fetching!" Hahaha
This, and the last sentence combined
...
I love how he makes himself laugh :) I would LOVE to see him live, he makes my life so much better :)
As soon as he started with the club music and the cat I lost it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Awesome!

Pixels Mossman famous one is Noah's ark. Sung to the tune of johnny I hardly knew ye
Aye, "I Vow To Thee, My Country" is a poem far older than the music. In fact, that music is actually Holst's "Jupiter" from the Planet suite.
i'm just getting started in stand-up this year so I'm studying comedians and I just stumbled upon this guy! SO funny!!!!!!! Definitely in my top 10.
The second he started on the cat barfing bit I looked up at my cat to see what he was up to. I laughed so hard because it's so true.
Such a great story teller really talented and very funny.
Im moving to scotland in septemeber and because of him i already love it
How did that work out for you?
Just a tip - I was not a fan of the haggis samosas... (yes this is a real thing in Scotland) 🏴
Juan, how has it been for you?
Where'd you go.
@@TheNormExperience he's half Indian anyway
"It's like an afterthought-- Oh... Canada." lol, I wish we saw more of this guy over here in the US.
refreshing to have modern music and the repetitive beat derided.
Great, good comedy, ah he reminds me a bit of Billy Connelly, new and great observational comedy, storytelling too. I like it
Great story teller and comedian. The man has a natural humor. adore him and wish he'd come to the US
His impersonation of animals are out of this world - cats, dogs and gecko's, he nails it

sidercarsR4bitches he met her she asked what does one do if ones audience doesn't laugh and Danny replied to her one usually shit themselves
Anna Still she reigns, alas

HANDS UP WHO LOVES 60-70’s MUSIC!

🙋♀️
I've never been able hear club music the same way again 🤣

Old music is the best music
He's telling funny stories and laughing as he goes along.I do the same thing,I love to laugh at funny memories.Plus,he's funny as shit and deserves to laugh!
His idol Billy Connolly's influence is clear in this sequence.
Hahah, way to throw Father O'Brian under the buss :P

01:44 "in fact father O'Brian thought it was quite fetching" 😅
@cambo91 most comedians use the same thing over and over. What makes him different is his story telling and the new ways he tells the same joke. It is funny every time.

I never sang like that. I remember my classmates did though, and I got so mad at them. Lol
Also his ability to chase rabbits well.
