    Its true what Achina says here. I always check flight prices in a few different platform. Overall the prices remain similar. But in easemytrip, because of no convenience fee, the price reduces quiet a bit when booking for multiple people. Have been using their web platform for the past 4 years.

      Its good they are not charging for more conveience fees, giving more features 😑 that don't releates to passengers. Who its related can find on their perception as need. By checking ✅ . Web based is good 👍 but App based is so fast n convenient. For fast ticket booking. We are now. Can use as there need of use. I prefer both according to time how remained. Good Shortcut or easy way. Both are acceptable by cust. 😊

    EMT charges INR300 as convenience fees. If you apply "no convenience fee" type coupon it will waive off the INR300 charge, but at the cost of not able applying other coupons. So, effectively they are indeed charging the convenience fees.

    There is an important caveat - if you apply a card specific, higher discount coupon, then convenience fee is added back in, otherwise the default offer is always 300 convenience fee off for every flight . It looks like they go into losses if both convenience fee is removed and a card specific offer is added in. EMT is going for a broader audience without access to these types of offers.

      Just one quick query,
      You only covered top 4 booking agencies and additionally your thumbnail shows emt burning trivago, but I didn't see you mentioning trivago even once on the video.
      And don't tell me that when you said that you would tell the cheapest platform for booking, your comparison was the one you meant.

      Try on desktop. We have tested this flow multiple times - they don’t charge it unless you apply some other card specific offer. Just open up another platform and this one and compare and see without any coupons/offers.

    But make my trip offers some good discounts on specific cards which can go upto 1500-1800. This would negate the convenience charges to some extent, right? Correct me if I am wrong but ease my trip doesn't offer such discounts. I am travelling from Bangalore to Mumbai tonight and at the time of booking mmt had provided me with a lesser amount compared to other portals including the airlines and emt

    Convenience feee should ethically be per booking and not per traveller. It's like bulk booking which is more convenient for airlines and software systems to manage. Infact they should reduce it proportionately to the size of the group.

    I use Google flights and end up booking tickets mostly from MMT or clear trip as they provide the cheapest price. Other option is to book directly from the airline company app or website you save convenience fee.

    The best hack to cheaper flight i ever came across is to make friends who have different credit cards :P
    As a person who travels solo most of the time, 300 Rs is not a great bargain TBH, also EMT dont have the best prices on the list as well.
    But you are right, its a hell journey booking a flight. Those who cant take this stress, EMT is best choice, atleast you get some discounts.
    Also, EMT is falling behind in bank sponsored offers if you had noticed. I dont even remember when was the last time i booked from that platform.

    Have had really a horrible experience with Yatra - they didn’t refund a dime even as I tried to cancel a ticket within an hour of booking it. Sent multiple tweets but all they did was ask for my details. This sector needs to be more regulated.

    Actually, they don't. It's always either or, meaning sometimes convenience fees will be charged if you opt for a better-discounted coupon or bank deal. It is a good marketing strategy from their end. My last year's trips to Bengaluru - Kolkata and then Mumbai were always an either-or. It is never "WE DON'T CHARGE CONVENIENCE FEE".

    I can vouch for cleartrip..have always booked my domestic and international flights from them..always cheaper than the rest..plus they literally have coupons that save me 2000-3000 rs

    I can see the convenience fee even in EaseMyTrip checkout page. (I see a fixed 300 rupees charge per seat)

    If you had added more reference with detailed ( it was unclear, too fast slide, presenting alignment) instead of speaker would have retained more audience. Additionally, use script is too lengthy can be shorter.
