    This is one of my favorites! Was just there Saturday night. Been going for years. And now, I'm taking the grands. It's such a beautiful tradition. 🎄💡

    I’ve been there a few times. It’s fun walking down the street and seeing the different type of Christmas designs.

    My home town!!! I no longer live there but every year for decades, since I was tiny, my whole family drove down Thompson Avenue. It's lovely the tradition continues!

    We also have a Christmas Tree Lane here in Fresno, CA. Dating back many years. The neighbors go all out every year and there are long line of cars waiting to get in. The huge trees surrounding the lane are akso strung with lights.

      Sadly, Alameda is another victim of the tech takeover. When I grew up there 40 odd years ago, my mom was a recently divorced woman with five kids. She had to work two jobs because my piece of garbage father never sent a dime but she was still able to afford a small, kind of rundown house. As time went on she rented a better house, I moved out and I was able to afford a nice apartment at the beach along with a roommate. It was still affordable up until about 20 years ago. Now it's horrible. Nothing but Tech heads with their faces and their phones, selfish, don't care about the community, it really makes me sick what's happened. Up until about 10 years ago it was year after year the safest city in the entire Bay area. You could have your kids out till 10:00 at night on their bikes and not have a worry. Unfortunately as word spread about what a great place it was, people moved in from undesirable areas thinking it would be safer for their kids. I guess they didn't realize that their kids were the problem.😊 crime is really bad now, I was shocked to find my old high school I'm going to shut down because they had the lowest test scores in California plus everyday violence in the hallways. It makes me sad and it makes me angry. I mean if you're coming in from a garbage area, maybe you shouldn't bring the garbage with you.

    There’s so many “Christmas Lane” in California. We don’t have snow and snow flakes but we live the Christmas spirit to bring the holiday alive. The father is so awesome and it’s so great his kids are involve in this.

    These people must make over a million dollar a year income to live in that neighborhood.

    • @clarkmacgowan5114
      @clarkmacgowan5114 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Oh for God sakes, what a ridiculous thing to say. No you don't need a million-dollar a year income. A lot of these people have owned their homes for decades so they weren't expensive way back when. But even in the homes that cost a million dollars, you don't need to make a million dollars to afford one. Who taught you basic economics, Trump University?

    I grew up in Alameda and we raised our daughters here.
    Merry CHRISTmas
    6) For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us;
    And the government will [h]rest on His shoulders;
    And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

    No matter what is happening in the world, THAT brings you “joy” and “happiness”? Um, ok.
    Out of touch with the suffering of others obviously.

      I have become seriously ill this year, I lost my fiance and our dog and my cat. I had to move out of the house we shared for 9 years. And I can tell you right now if I were able to walk down Christmas Tree Lane in alameda, yeah, I sure as hell would feel better. I'm sorry your life is so off the rails that everything makes you sick but that's your problem, not ours.

    This is nice, but the Christmas Tree Lane in El Segundo (Los Angeles) is far better.

    • @clarkmacgowan5114

      I have indeed visited both. I lived in LA for 17 years after I moved out of alameda. What a joke to suggest El Segundo is better. Not even close. Not. Even. Close.

      @@simmipaulit is a horrible place, I was stuck there for a while taking care of an elderly relative. With that being said, you're insane if you think that Thompson Avenue otherwise called Christmas Tree Lane isn't as good because there's no snow. I mean seriously you have no idea what you're talking about. I grew up there. It's fabulous.
