Gain Good Fortune in the New Year with a Lucky Chinese Lion Dance | A Lunar New Year Celebration

The Chinese Lion Dance is a tradition dating back thousands of years. Performed by two dancers, the lion is meant to bring good luck and fortune in the new year by scaring away all the evil spirits surrounding you, your family, your business, and so forth.
Though it's a "Chinese" Lion Dance, the performance is commonplace across Asia, and you'll often see it accompanied by firecrackers (also meant to scare away bad luck and spirits), dragon dances, and martial arts performances. The dance is also part of Lunar New Year celebrations (also referred to as, "Chinese New Year") and may also parade alongside the Chinese god of money. In fact, that's why the lion is red and gold. The red represents good luck, while the gold represents money.
This particular performance was done at the China pavilion during EPCOT's International Festival of the Holidays. While that event is over, the Lunar New Year is yet to start. It'll last about 2 weeks once it does.
