This makes me picture a queen in the medieval ages who's king was killed, leaving her with a son to raise on her own. She deeply mourns the death of her love, and now with more power, she raises her son to be her knight to track down who she thinks killed him, crushing anyone who stands in her way under her heel, even her own children. You just gave me a book idea.
you basically got the vibe i was going for when i commissioned this art piece, except for some minor details. i really wanted this character to give off lady macbeth vibes, or something similar. thank you so much for your comment. :)
if you enjoy tales of self destructive revenge you might enjoy the tale of kriemhild from the old German epic Nibelungenlied as its basically the lion king's one and two from 900 years ago
mmm lady macbeth vibes fun fact! the lion king movies are based on shakespeare plays ("the lion king" is based on "hamlet," and "the lion king 2" is based on "romeo and juliet")
This is one of the MOST underrated villain song! Just look at the lyrics: "the battle may be bloody But that kind of works for me" "till he learns to be a KILLER" "our flag will fly against a blood-red sky" Simply chilling to the bone! Your calm approach to it is even more threatening sounding than Zira's intense one.❤
I have been beaten to much of the praise to give to your formidable cover. Let me then say this: The couple other "My Lullaby" covers I have listened to include Zeke's insult, "Sleep you little termite", just in the same voice as the rest of the song, making their take bluntly regard Jovi as an obnoxious tool I like that you chose to instead replace the line by calling him an 'angel'. It sets the impression of loving Kovu even while intending to use him. That, in my opinion, is even more interesting and eerie than the original. I commend you for this liberty you have taken.
This was one of my all time favorite Disney movies as a kid. I liked the original, but this was the one that was stuck in my mind. “Be Prepared” slaps, but “My Lullaby” is better to me. Amazing cover.
I am very late, but I absolutely love both your voice and the art used for the cover. The mixing, the background voices... everything, it's magnificent and incredibly inspiring.
Honestly, this song feels like Cersei's theme after going into exile in Essos (In a AU where she was the one who married Rhaegar instead of Elia) with her son.
Hi Justine. I like your cover videos. Could you do sing (cover) In the Dark of the Night from Anastasia (1997) please? I wonder what will the music and your voice will sound in this song. So, could you do it please? Salutations 👋👋👋👋
Hi Justin M. I like yor female cover on this video and could you do a female cover video about a song called "In The Dark Of The Night" from the movie Anastasia (1997) on Dec. 23 please. Don't include my name on this video I prefer to be anonymus please.
i didn't really like the ending of this cover because at the end, all the lions sang that part together, and became my favorite part because of that so that was pretty sad that this cover didnt have that.

@@JustinesMic Thank you as well. You have a really nice voice :)

Sounds Shakespearian, love it
@@arthurchallat8530 The original Lion King is based on Hamlet and the second one is a modified Romeo and Juliet, so it makes sence
I honestly never realized that the lion king songs could work for a medieval setting.
The Lion King is loosely based off of Hamlet and supposedly the sequel is loosely based off of Romeo and Juliet.
@@kristenbrinn3940 yeah, both of which are set in the middle ages
mmm lady macbeth vibes

😎🌟😎🌟😎🌟😎🌟😎🌟
😊🌟😊🌟😊🌟😊🌟😊🌟
Adding to that, Lion King 1 and a half is based on Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
I've got chills, your voice is so rich and beautiful. What an honor

The entire movie and its soundtrack are underrated - I honestly think it's a sequel that surpasses the original in every way.
This is such an underrated Disney song and sounds so good with your voice!

I actually was inspired by Rafscrap's cover of this song. She was the one who made that change initially. :)
@@JustinesMic it works really well, because by using that word switch the singer implies a more loving relationship between mother and son
Would it be better if she said "Sleep my little devil " considering what she has planned for him. 😮
Oh my god this is one of the very few covers that genuinely gave me chills. This is so good.
This song is one of my favorites from the sequel that I occasionally remember
Welp. Time to go down a rabbit hole of listening to all of your covers, because this is so sinfully goooooood.
This was one of my all time favorite Disney movies as a kid. I liked the original, but this was the one that was stuck in my mind. “Be Prepared” slaps, but “My Lullaby” is better to me.
Amazing cover.
Be prepared is iconic, but My Lullaby is both It's own unique twist while still carrying the energy of the first song.
This is one of my favourite Disney songs! I'm so glad you sang it! It's beautiful!
Wait, I just realised something
Scar is gone, but zira’s still around, to love this *little lad*
I’ll see myself out
berries and cream 🍓🫐✨
Your version makes Zira sound exasperated but determined and I like it
This song suits your voice so much!! I didn’t know the original song but still i can tell that you did so well🥰✨
Honestly, this sequel does NOT get the love it deserves.
This is my favorite cover of this song, its very well done and very well put together!

Ugh much love I love Lion King 2 so much and this cover is so good!!!
Already knew that I'll love it
Justine 🎤

This is spellbinding, why doesn't it have a million views!>!>!>
What a great cover! Very chilling
This song and movie are underrated af.
It's giving Cersei Lannister.
Great cover!
Why is the Artwork reminding so much like Cersei from Game of Thrones
Honestly, this song feels like Cersei's theme after going into exile in Essos (In a AU where she was the one who married Rhaegar instead of Elia) with her son.
I love The Lion King 2 more than the original and Zira's villain song is a high favorite of mine. Fantastic cover
Wow!
