I, 24, in junior high with all my stoner friends started to play Hackeysack. We weren’t the best but decent after playing for a year. We had this class together with the administrators of the school, we were great kids😉, and one of the admins put the sack on his nice dress shoes and then stepped on his toes and lifted his foot up with the hackeysack on it forcing the sack to launch in the air showing us a new way to start the hackeysack, everyone immediately gained so much respect for him!

I think the kinda washed-out color scheme is very interesting but I can't tell if that's just the SuperNT or the hack itself. That said in terms of like, visual quality, this looks pretty equal with the CRT.

My cat is named after Ecco :) I feed him tuna wet food, so I'm pretty sure he's some % dolphin by body weight by now!
But man, Ecco lore goes *so much deeper than that*.
So Annunziata, the creator of Ecco the Dolphin, is on discord, and is in the Caverns of Time discord, the Ecco fan community. And given us some Q&A's and chatted from time to time. Which means . . . he has confirmed some absolutely buckwild fan theories.
So here's one that he said "is probably the only one that is coherent with all the story I have in my head". ("But I never worried too much whether all the time travel was consistent").
So time is Stable in the Ecco the Dolphin universe. You can have things from alternate timelines, but they're holdovers; the timeline generally retroactively changes everything, and unless you can provide a stable loop for yourself to have done the things, you can't change time. This is why Ecco can travel to the future and destroy a time machine *then*, and change the past that has already happened in that timeline: he destroys the stable loop that the Alien Queen created. He doesn't have to provide a stable loop for himself, and he doesn't, he just needs to disrupt the existing one and time will "bounce back".
So how did the events of the first game happen? Well, there's another type of time machine at work: the prophecies. The Atlanteans prophecies to be precise; everytime they scry the future, they butt up against this alien queen, and then they act in the past to counter her, so they're having a battle across time where one side just knows they're running into all sorts of "weird coincidences" that work against them, and the Atlanteans are like "if we record a message into a crystal here, some sea creatures will imitate it, a dolphin will hear them in the future and do a sick flip, which saves the planet".
The *Atlanteans*, who can't time travel themselves, are battling the Alien Queen across time by prophecying the future and arranging for a dolphin to save his pod.
But time is stable. So the prophecies don't tell them who will win or how to battle the alien queen. Picture this: you have an oracle machine, and you ask it what type of ice cream you will ask for later. But you fully intend to ask for a different flavour than whatever the machine tells you. It would seem unable to predict the future, right? But if it can answer any string of words it wants, then it give some answer that will cause the prophecy to come true. So maybe instead of a straight-forward answer, it gives you some cipher, and as you're puzzling over it, you realize and say the answer out loud just as someone is coming towards you to ask what ice cream you would like. This might seem like the prophecy is alive and manipulating you, but it is only this type of universe, wherein the prophecy causes its fulfillment, that can possibly be stable, so everytime you prophecize, you are setting some future event in stone, *whether you like it or not*.
So you can't directly prophecy "will we win and how?", because if the answer's no, you have doomed yourself with no chance of victory. Which is probably what the Atlanteans did to themselves. But you can fight *indirectly*. You can prophecy how to send a non-Atlantean human in the future a time machine. Ah nuts. Alright, let's prophecy how to give a goat a time machine. Ah nuts. At some point, they decided to prophecy about a dolphin. And it worked. And they prophecied how to give this dolphin all the needed tools to fight the Vortex. And then with all the cards in place they ask: will this dolphin win? Fully prepared to keep prophecing about different lifeforms until they reach one that *does* win. But the dolphin DID win in their prophecy. So they passed it down, and they built the crystals, and they built the dolphin time machine.
