Very neat video for cleaning pooja items, covering even minute aspects. In the last, for applying chandanam, kunkumam, a small cup may be used, instead of left hand.
I subscribed to you mainly because I like Tamil channels like yours. It makes me feel at home, feel like my neighbour sister is talking to me. Your videos are amazing. Today only I found your channel, looking forward to other videos.

Very useful, I really like your detailed explanation, we tried it and our Puja things are bright now. But we have mostly silver is there a pithabari for silver? Also for stubborn grease we needed to use a pin to scrape let us know if there is a better option and do keep sharing such valuable tips.
We use a liquid called Brasso. Normally we wash the items in the same way (liquid soap, scrub and separate tooth brush), then finally apply Brasso and leave it to dry then polish it with tissue paper. I think the color coding for different brushes is great idea
I use first sabeena mixed pitambari and then lemon and again sabeena. And I use finger press instead of toothbrush. this gives more better result mam. just sharing with you.
once a week I clean with tamarin paste and wash deeply with liquid soap using a kitchen scrub and let dry in sunlight. It shines as new.(tips from my late Patty of South Indian origin).. Cleaning powder not easily available in Mauritius.
Very nice mam. Can the same be used for Kaansa utensils. Kaansa is some sort of copper bronze and zinc together like an alloy. They have the same finish as either brass or bronze. Thanks for the info.
A request from me too.. can you also explain how to do Amaavasyai viratham.. What should be cooked, the procedure that need to be followed.. I would be grateful if you could explain that in your upcoming videos..

True!!!...my mom is using the same pitambri powder since a very long time and we use fingers to rub and clean these items, the shape or polish will go away if scrubber or brush is used frequently
Hi mam Good eve. thank you for posting useful video.. actually am going to job and I have one year baby with me. so na yepomae pooja vessels Thursday wash panuvan. sometimes job la vara late ahidicha na thursday evening 6 clock apuram wash panalama?
use new and separate washing liquid, scrub and brushes not the same that you use for your kitchen dishes, only orthodox clans we observe madi viluppu we use everything separately.... not with any ecchil or viluppus paathra panda vasthus, u don't need to use that pitambari toxic chemicals...a handful of pulli(tamarind) would do the job perfectly, only those non orthodox or conservatives don't know this old simple methods, the "patina" comes out easily with tamarind.
Mam, I am already using pithambari for Pooja materials, pls suggest any other cleaning powder for silver Pooja materials. I live in Bangalore and I don't know what is the product available as I am new to Bangalore.
