This makes it harder than it needs to be. So much easier just to dark iron miner the centre and then death ball right with healer and troll behind then add in extra damage if needed off the centre stone
I played around with the idea a little and I think Fire Elemental (for resistance), no Shaman, and more dps to support the Troll might do it reliably. I'd need to test a lot more for consistency.

Sucks i dont have darkspear troll with poison.. and wont get it either =( edit: My alliance deck doesnt start with miner, and the AI starts with an Huntress, making it impossible (and if you got any influence at blizz devs can you tell them to fix their game.. You can change your starting hand by changing the slots your minis are in. Just put the miner into one of the slots you get at the start if you need it.
You can either try to manipulate the opening by playing something differently or adapt to it. The strategy works. The boss has a random hand, like you, and can open in a multitude of ways. There are ways to counter them all.

All your strats have been very helpful, except this one. There’s definitely a disconnect between what you’re saying and what I’m seeing in-game. I get that we’re able to manipulate the response by the ai and adapt, but the sheer amount of troops seems to be different which is simply unavoidable. Not only that, but Brumeran will not allow my harpies to even approach without turning.. just seems like maybe it’s been changed to defend against this attack somewhere.

U do realize this only works if people have the same boss mechanics right...otherwise thus doesn't work...tried it 15x with avg lvl of 25..where are your spiderlings, you double hydra all the other minis boss spawns right off the bat
k i am a little tilted watching this video lol. every.single.time. brumeran turns around ASAP and one shots the harpies but he never turns on yours until the melee is dead lol
I tested it and it still works exactly like in the video. Note that your ground tank will move towards the right and Brumeran will not follow them, so once they are a bit further away, he will let them go. You need to place your tank very close to Brumeran. Also, the AI stops targeting minis it considers dead, so if there are many other minis attacking your tank, Brumeran can switch targets if an ongoing attack will kill the tank.
@@OldGuardian I think I've actually figured this out, having face the same problem and having played a bunch of Chimera in my decks. Each head targets separately, and the 2nd head does not acquire a target until it is preparing to fire/after the first head. In your video examples this was not a problem because you placed the harpies back a ways, but if you spawn a tank on top of the boss, then the harpies on top of it's back, it will acquire the tank, fire, then switch to the harpies on top of it with it's second head. The solution seems to be to just spawn the harpies farther from the boss so it will acquire the 2nd target before the tank walks to far away/the harpies are on top of it.

Combine cheat death with the seal fate talent and you dont need to fit execute into your deck

Sadly my unbound tanks all get 1-shot. Brumeran kills the tank, turns and kills the harpies before I can cast spell mini.

This strat doesnt work. The spiders at start dont spawn on the left but at the meeting stone and that delays you and you get smoked.

Maybe they hotfixed this strat.
I tested it and it still works exactly like in the video. Note that your ground tank will move towards the right and Brumeran will not follow them, so once they are a bit further away, he will let them go. You need to place your tank very close to Brumeran. Also, the AI stops targeting minis it considers dead, so if there are many other minis attacking your tank, Brumeran can switch targets if an ongoing attack will kill the tank.

Encounter has been patched. Boss switches targets and claps DPS ignoring tanks.
