Dazai did know how it was affecting Akutagawa, that’s the whole reason he did it. He DID think about how he feels, that’s why he chose it that way, he needed him to feel that way for his desired outcome. Making it seem like he didn’t is making Dazai seem innocent in his actions, he did what he did on purpose, to give him a reason to live and to get him to survive. Dazai knows exactly how Aku is and he knows it’s bc of him, saying otherwise is wrong, Dazai needed Aku to feel that way for his plans. Dazai has always had that way of thinking that all that matters is the outcome, not how you get to that outcome, he doesn’t feel joy in hurting ppl, he doesn’t do it for cruel reasons, but he doesn’t feel guilty about it either. Tbh I think dazai has changed, I’m not saying he changed all his morals and he’s a good guy but he has changed, and matured. If there was one thing I'd like to point out, I'd like to mention that between the middle of this video I do see how Dazai goes as far as to joke and looked like in denial. Which is difficult because it's gacha but the way he says his words shows disbelief/denial. It's realistic to me because it shows how badly the port mafia fucked him over, while Dazai does not have morals because it is the base of his character, it also semi-adds on the influence of what the pm would have on him and how there's like morals that don't belong to him that he still has and is trying to change (somewhat) This video was well made and honorable mention to Kenji. I also like how Atsushi and Junichiro seem to converse a little more between eachother not because they're next to eachother but because they're also the same age and it would be easier for an eighteen year old to talk to another eighteen year old (or maybe i'm biased as a taniatsu shipper) This also applies to Kenji and Kyouka who are both fourteen, I also like how Kenji's character is more open which is how i would see him as, he's like the Bungou Stray Dogs version of Pinkie Pie. I also adore Yosano's line where she says Dazai is the one patient she can't cure. It says a lot from Yosano literally not being able to heal Dazai with her ability and mentally. Tanizaki is so me "WHO HURT U" real. #FINDMORI2024 All of their personalities were well done and I genuinely adored this video, ate it up, took it and ran away with it, has finally been fed. This is the first time I've seen someone portray Dazai's reactions more accurately than less. Most people mischaracterize him in reaction videos way too much. I’m extremely late on this, shame on me. BUT.. jaw dropped once again. Emi.. you truly don’t know how to make a BAD reaction video, like it’s physically not possible for you. You drop perfection after perfection after perfection, all of your videos are literally masterpieces. This is just a rant (no need to change anything but I want to see if I'm the only one who sees it): Dazai being abusive to Akutagawa isn't for fun and games. I mean it rarely is but in an environment like the Port Mafia, Akutagawa had to be trained to be hurt terribly and come right back up. Dazai as a nullified and a skilled strategist is by far one of the worst obstacles Akutagawa would ever have to face, and it's no doubt he would since his ability is too powerful for Mori to not utilise it. Mori has used people, regardless of their age or feelings, for his purpose in far milder situations (Yosano in the war), so it's not mistake to believe he would do the same to Akutagawa. Not only that but Akutagawa grew up on the streets fending for him and Gin. The main difference between him and Gin is that because he was the main fighter for the two of them, he relied primarily on his reckless behaviour. It helped him stay alive because living on the streets he couldn't afford to make calculated decisions all the time. But in an environment like the port mafia that simply isn't possible, it's far too dangerous and gambles can easily be overrun. Even after Dazai left, Akutagawa didn't lose that recklessness, it was just the most pronounced with Dazai (him jumping after the device Atsushi throws to talk to Dazai). Dazai not only has to rid him of it, but his manipulation of Akutagawa regarding Atsushi prompts Akutagawa to look for what to "fix". Shin Soukoku was engineered so they were compatible to how Dazai needed them but also because they push out the best in each other. Akutagawa needs someone to teach him how to be calculated and not be reckless, Atsushi needs someone to fuel him to his full potential (which Akutagawa does via anger). Dazai's acts are abusive and in a regular context would be unforgivable, but it is also the reason Akutagawa and Gin are alive, he gave them a home. But unlike Gin, Akutagawa is far too reckless and willing to prove himself so Dazai had to ensure he wouldn't get killed. This would be the case for most of the people in the Mafia anyways, we just don't know it since we've never been in a position to see it.

If there was one thing I'd like to point out, I'd like to mention that between the middle of this video I do see how Dazai goes as far as to joke and looked like in denial. Which is difficult because it's gacha but the way he says his words shows disbelief/denial.
It's realistic to me because it shows how badly the port mafia fucked him over, while Dazai does not have morals because it is the base of his character, it also semi-adds on the influence of what the pm would have on him and how there's like morals that don't belong to him that he still has and is trying to change (somewhat)
This video was well made and honorable mention to Kenji. I also like how Atsushi and Junichiro seem to converse a little more between eachother not because they're next to eachother but because they're also the same age and it would be easier for an eighteen year old to talk to another eighteen year old (or maybe i'm biased as a taniatsu shipper) This also applies to Kenji and Kyouka who are both fourteen, I also like how Kenji's character is more open which is how i would see him as, he's like the Bungou Stray Dogs version of Pinkie Pie.
I also adore Yosano's line where she says Dazai is the one patient she can't cure. It says a lot from Yosano literally not being able to heal Dazai with her ability and mentally.

This is just a rant (no need to change anything but I want to see if I'm the only one who sees it):
Dazai being abusive to Akutagawa isn't for fun and games. I mean it rarely is but in an environment like the Port Mafia, Akutagawa had to be trained to be hurt terribly and come right back up. Dazai as a nullified and a skilled strategist is by far one of the worst obstacles Akutagawa would ever have to face, and it's no doubt he would since his ability is too powerful for Mori to not utilise it. Mori has used people, regardless of their age or feelings, for his purpose in far milder situations (Yosano in the war), so it's not mistake to believe he would do the same to Akutagawa. Not only that but Akutagawa grew up on the streets fending for him and Gin. The main difference between him and Gin is that because he was the main fighter for the two of them, he relied primarily on his reckless behaviour. It helped him stay alive because living on the streets he couldn't afford to make calculated decisions all the time. But in an environment like the port mafia that simply isn't possible, it's far too dangerous and gambles can easily be overrun. Even after Dazai left, Akutagawa didn't lose that recklessness, it was just the most pronounced with Dazai (him jumping after the device Atsushi throws to talk to Dazai). Dazai not only has to rid him of it, but his manipulation of Akutagawa regarding Atsushi prompts Akutagawa to look for what to "fix". Shin Soukoku was engineered so they were compatible to how Dazai needed them but also because they push out the best in each other. Akutagawa needs someone to teach him how to be calculated and not be reckless, Atsushi needs someone to fuel him to his full potential (which Akutagawa does via anger). Dazai's acts are abusive and in a regular context would be unforgivable, but it is also the reason Akutagawa and Gin are alive, he gave them a home. But unlike Gin, Akutagawa is far too reckless and willing to prove himself so Dazai had to ensure he wouldn't get killed. This would be the case for most of the people in the Mafia anyways, we just don't know it since we've never been in a position to see it.
