Winter Shaw Island race Skoal - Feb 2021 - Catalina 36 - high wind sailing - sailboat racing

sailing winter shaw island race on Catalina 36 Skoal with high winds on windward side of Shaw, but puffy and light at start. On southeast and south side of Shaw Island the wind was in the 20's and reefed main and full genoa was a bit overpowered, but once we headed NW with the wind, and then gybed back east along the northern end of Shaw Island it was a warm, light, downwind race - without a spinnaker, was flying wing and wing. Race results but Skoal at 15 of 24 which is fine for a 1982 Catalina 36 without a chute...
