You are THE BEST Bernbo. I bought one of these clocks and the same thing it would not fit. It keeps perfect time but it did the same as yours. I can now modify mine and put it on thanks to your video. 1, Hour later and my clock is now on the handle bars of my motorcycle. I thought that I had lost 15 dollars when the clock did not fit and now I have my money back again thanks to Bernbo.
Bought the clock and thermometer.. Same problem on my Dyna Wide Glide 06' , can't believe everyone is having to do this. Im glad I saw this, mine came without instructions and thought , MAYBE had to remove everything off sides of bars and slide it on. What a pain.
I thought about this concept for a lot of years and whether it be Harley trinkets or aftermarket attachments, I just could not bring myself to add a clock or wear a watch while riding a bike, let alone hang a cell phone on the bike too...think about it...a motorcycle in it's self is a time machine that makes time disappear or better yet, think of your bike like Aladdin's Lamp, once yet get on it and bring the motor alive you have made a wish...a wish of "freedom"...the power to ride anywhere you want when you want...the power to achieving the feeling of "freedom." I've have always believed if it has two wheels and a motor, it's all good regardless of the brand. Merry Christmas...
I added the same clock on my Yamaha 1100 before I saw your video and broke the cheap plastic lens. Always remove the clock before installation, and won't break the lens. Good video. 😫
Working on his own bike? You call mounting a clock on handlbars "working on his own bike"? Geez! I can't believe how helpless people are these days. When I started riding in the late 60s, anyone who owned a bike could do ALL the work including rebuilding the engine, etc. These days, there are actually nitwits you have to take their bike to a dealership to have the oil changed! As unbelievable as that sounds, I'm not joking. I still do all my own work on my motorcycles, trucks, SUVs, and almost everything else. The only time I would let a dealership work on anything would be with a warranty claim and, even then, I hesitate. And you think mounting a clock on handlebars is "doing your own work." Please tell me you're joking. But, based on that comment, I'm guessing you may be one of the nimrods who takes their machines to dealerships to have the oil changed. What a sad state when people are so incredibly helpless!
Very glad to see you back man...hope the reno is goin well dude...I find it hard to believe Yamaha bars are out of whack....wow...I assume its the clock....lol...ride safe brother
Hahaha...."Option freaking 9"....Always enjoy your vids Bernbo, I learn so much from watching you. Use a lot of the info to work on my V-Star 650. Thank you....Sarafina
If you take a sharp edge to it I used my Swiss army knife and worked it around the edge of the watch till there was enough room for a thin flat head screw driver then worked that around it to pop it out of the bar clamp. It is a tight fit. Hope this helps. Cheers.
How cold do you ride? It is about 10 in your area. Here in Montreal is zero and snow start. Nine buck for the clock. I been trying to find one cheap because those cost about fifty for just a little clock. Where did you buy it?
I ride at 8 or 10 as long as no frost I'm good. Here is the link to the clock I bought, they raised the price since I bought it. www.dx.com/p/universal-motorcycle-mounted-aluminum-alloy-analog-quartz-watch-for-harley-cruiser-silver-371676#.WDJmxLIrLIU I paid $9.37. Cheers!
right on man, I hate sending crap back. usually forget how pissed I am in a few days and either give it away or same as you.. make it work.. the American spirit friend. thanks.
hi there mate if you get time I have put up some vids getting abit better would be so cool if you could have a look if you have some free time that is~!! 1/ fuck year!! fuck yea part 2 ... up in the hills ....also part 2 of that and 8 days no ride......... thks!!
I had to force it on but now I can tell I am not late for work..lol... If I could change one thing I'd add a small vent hole in the clock cause in the sun it gets wet inside under the glass and fogs up...
Wonderful idea! Thankyou, and every good wish for Christmas to you and yours. Bob.( I sewed mine onto the inside surface of my left gauntlet. Seems to work also.)

I have one for myself from China. I fitted it on a straight piece and didn't fit so i made it bigger. Did the clock work for a long time? Mine was broken after a few months
Hey Mysxtis, i just measured it, it should fit a 1 in bar and smaller with the plastic piece. I had to shave it down a bit with a flap disc to fit my 1 in bars.
hello my friend i have a technical question, i have a 2000 vstar 650 custom with original handlebar and i want to change a baron nostalgia bar, but my question is if i do the change i have to install more longer electrical wires or more longer clutch and gas cables, thanks for your answer and sorry for my english
Hi Edger, that is a great question, I wish I could answer it for you but I really don't know. Here is a link that may help you out. Nice choice of bars, awesome look & suites the bike perfectly. www.cruisercustomizing.com/baron-custom-accessories-nostalgia-bar-fits-most-cruisers/part/BA-7307-00#Fitment Cheers!
Sometimes these products are fitted with a battery which has the Terminals covered with adhesive pads. To put such a timepiece into operation- all one has to do is peal-off those pads, and reassemble the device.
I get a kick out of you saying when it didn't fit, "You get what you pay for." The reason I get a kick out of it is that you clearly didn't check your handlbars BEFORE you ordered the clock. If you did, you would have looked for straight sections because the clock because it obviously wouldn't fit on curved sections of the handlebars. Also, because I've ordered one of these for my 1" handlebars, and every one I found like this for 1" bars cost around $15. So I looked for one that cost less than $10 based on what you paid. The only ones I found were for 7/8" bars and I'm thinking maybe that's what you ordered and that's why you had to grind them to fit your 1" bars. Of course, I could be wrong but that seems likely. The moral of the story is, check things out BEFORE you order them and read the product description carefully. In this case, you should have measured the diameter of your handlebars, made sure there was a straight section where you could mount the clock and ordered a clock to fit the diameter of your bars - if you didn't do that - and it looks like you didn't. Now, if the clock fails, then you can complain but not if you ordered the wrong thing and didn't check to see if it would work on your handlebars.
Hey Bob, this is truly a case of you get what you pay for. I did measure the bars and they are 1 in and ordered a 1 in clock but I can't say that I was to shocked by this since so much of this cheap stuff is like that. I was born at night but I was not born last night lol. I most certainly try to cover all the bases before ordering anything online. But in the end super easy fix for not a lot of money. Cheers bro

Way better than $75 for the Harley clock. Nice job!
Thanks for the video bro.... I was wondering how to set the hour! thanks again!
Just pop the watch out of the mount, and then set the time by pulling out the pin and turning it to the correct time like an old wrist watch.
@@bernbo yes bro! Thanks. Just saw that in the video. Very helpfull

Albert Perez that's a good tip, thanks bro. Cheers
I actually have one just like that, just wondering how did you removed the clock from the mount?
Excellent video always nice to see a guy working on his own bike :)

Is this radium watch?
For night time...
Only the hands glow in the dark, not the numbers.
No need to drill a handle bar to install it sir?
That's correct. No need to drill.
