Please help. I set up 2 factor authenticator years ago and I no longer have that phone number. I have tried all of this and more and cannot get it to work. They have a new thing that started just 2 days ago that you can set it up to go to your email, if you upload your ID. I have done that but they dont reply and nothing comes to me.

But if you put your old number that you don't have any more on your friend's account a verification code must be sent to this number as well or am I wrong?
If you have lost access to that number, then the only way to get in to your account is by submitting your ID, you can follow this video for that

It says for the security purpose I can't open Facebook through embedded websites which included apps like Mint Browser. Plus, I tried to resend code multiple times, changed password multiple times and logged in and out multiple times that I couldn't use App Settings through Safari (my messenger is luckily logged in Ipad) but it says Safari can't open because it has been redirected multiple times. What can I do?

OMG, YOU GUYS, I DID IT! Okay, I've been locked out of my account for MONTHS. I had almost given up. I needed a code but couldn't log onto my account to get the code! I code the "i don't have my phone" option and it prompted me to give my information. They got back to me a few days later with an emailed like that would give me temporary access to my account; you have to click the "settings" button. I chose to remove the double password check setting and then reapplied it by adding my cell phone number, NOT BY ADDING THE CODE GENERATOR. Hope this helps guys!
