I had my autosomal DNA analyzed, and I found a little surprise. I was born in America, but I discovered that I am part Turkish and Iranian. This knowledge led me on a quest to research my western Asia genealogy, and this is how I learned about the Arab Slave Trade.
    I am not ashamed of my heritage nor do I want my Iranian and Turkish distant cousins to feel sadness or guilt about the choices their forefathers made. I have always lived my life with love and acceptance of people from every ethnicity and socioeconomic background. My discovery simply means that I have more people on this large planet whom I call family.

That’s different that the ethnic ottomans Turkish who went to turkey and established what the world know as ‘turkey’ today. The ethnic Turkish people are the Caucasians from the Caucasus near southern Russia. You cannot just claim yourself Turkish. And Afro-Turks appeared because of the slave trade, if the slave trade never happened, there will be no “Afro-Turks”.

I found a cousin who was living in Africa, and we matched to a person 5 generations ago who was mixed with West Asian and West African DNA. I never knew about this until my distant cousin contacted me, and then I did some googling and learned that African laborers settled into Antalya, where my Turkish family is from. It's quite a surprise, but it clicks why my Grandfather had darker features.

      WORLD HISTORY VERY IMPORTANT - For more balanced view. Many lies. Many truths. Re "Americans'. Many dark and brown skinned and their ancestors were actually native to the continent for thousands of years. Their descendants were lied to in order to appropriate land and property etc so, in fact, they are not all of African descent. Never over-simply history. It is always complex. Humans are complex. Remember too that libraries, artefacts, icons, buildings etc have been destroyed and hidden. We get snapshots of 'truths'. The important thing is to keep pushing to live in harmony. Abolish dangerous and divisive 'ideas', not overpopulate, not enslave and brutalise each other, no matter the colour. Let your conscience (if you have one) be your guide and sleep in peace at night knowing you have done what is right by your fellow man/woman/child and beast. The more we focus on WHERE we come from, the more we miss out the fact that we are all humans living on planet earth. Humanity is the root of all of us. We need to pass over small differences in us and celebrate our similarities. We need to celebrate life together. That's the only way to live our short lives here in PEACE and HAPPINESS.

    This is a biased video. Even the translations are tailored. Colored people are treated as brothers in this country. They may draw attention because of their colors, but they're never treated differently. Considering how racist some Germans are towards the Turkish people who live there, who actually helped them build their economy after WW2 (because many German men got killed in the war), this is a sad attempt to promote racism.

    and most of them said, that slave could be grandchildres of any sahabas,, it would be big honour to take God Allah pleasure by doing this..
    Treated Like a family member, find someone for marrige and help for his New life,, İf any bad habit was occured, don't you think it would be told by all generations till today,,

    No superiority or inferiority in Islam. This channel copies the western power structure, racialist ideology, Islam doesn't judge a man on his skin, but rather on his deeds. The standard measurement in islam is based on the mans intention. Even Bilal was bought out from slavery to become on of the most important companion of Mohammed PBUH.

    I am sure Afro-Turks lived in Turkey during Roman times. Levant and Turkey probably always had Africans if you want the truth.
    Egyptians, Assyrians, Greeks, Persians, Romans, Arabs and Turks probably always transplanted Africans in the Levant and on rare occasion parts of Anatolia all of history I bet.
    I am sure it's possible.

    • @lsamoa
      @lsamoa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's obviously always been Africans in the whole Mediteranean region including in what is now Turkey. It's not like Africa is on the other side of the planet, it's right there. But don't assume that Africans have always been slaves "transplanted" elsewhere by others. Like any other people, Africans have travelled, migrated, explored. And still do.

    • @noahtylerpritchett2682
      @noahtylerpritchett2682 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lsamoa no doubt that too. But Africans didn't seem to have the motivation. However that has happened.
