And George, older and more out of shape. And yet, George seems calm, collected, and fair about his fighting style. Seemingly very honorable. And just keeps taking the hits, and doesnt stop coming. He seems to be keeping Tommy on the defensive the entire time. Seemingly wearing him out. Even with Tommy taking quite a few shots that I would deem "cheap". And George, not at all appearing to be worried or concerned about him. Impressive, George. Both in toughness, and in honor. Nice.... 😌
This was probably Morrisons best boxing. His trainer said this was the one fight they were able to get him where they wanted him and he stayed there for the fight because he was genuinely afraid of Foreman and knew what he could do. Like Rocky told him fear is your best friend what keeps you sharp.
Yes it would have been fire for about 3 or 4 rounds. Until Tyson ends it with a brutal combination that drops Tommy. He would have to fight him the same way he fought Foreman with keeping distance and being smart when throwing punches.

Great fight. Foreman even at that age was fearsome. Dared you to hit him as hard as you could while he took it and kept coming at you. Probably the most demoralizing thing a boxer could feel other than maybe not being able to hit someone at all.

Saw this fight live when I was a kid. My dad was rooting for George and I for Tommy. Now that I older I have great respect and admiration for George.
