I was with a band in highschool and we would close every show with this song. This brought back some good memories. Being the bassist and singer, it gave me the chance to live out my Les Claypool fantasies. Every bassist should learn this song. It's not very hard at all, but very effective.
Ironically, I'm only 15, so I wasn't living when they started. I like how the bass in the song is kind of up there with the guitar in importance. Not like most newer music, where it's too bassy. Primus is creative with the bass, not overpowering it.
In 1990, this was the heaviest funkmetal you could find at that time. I think. I was still listening to the Urban Dance Squad and the Red Hot Chili Peppers but was actually looking for this kind of music. Unfortunately I heard it only a few years after Nirvana died.
