The OG Nosferatu was a childhood nightmare fuel of mine. I remember being freaked out of going up the stairs or in my halls as a kid, just from seeing clips of Orlok. Subsequently, watching Orlok’s death marked the first time I felt genuine catharsis and relief over a character’s death.
in our theater room at the haunted house i worked at for 9 years, we only played that movie so I've seen it a few thousand times, so good for a silent film
@jdogus1994 that's amazing (unless it got too repetitious to always hear/see it at work! I used to work at a cinema and, my god, having the same trailers on repeat sometimes each shift was hard!). I liked to have Nosferatu on in the background at Halloween parties I threw, as well as watch it just generally as a background comfort movie. It has the best music, even if no-one is watching.
remember this villain was in Are You Afraid of the Dark? The Tale of the Midnight Madness just like the og german movie they just ganked a villain from another thing, and that episode gave me gd s-tier nightmares
It's so wild and funny to me that Nicholas Hoult Is playing Thomas Hutter for this when he played as R. M. Renfield in the last joint. Forever under the looming shadow that is Dracula/Orlok. Btw if others haven't mentioned this yet, Nosferatu isn't the creature's name. His name is Count Orlok. And Nosferatu is the name of his species. Really, it's just a Romanian way of saying vampire/vampyr.
Having watched The Northman and The VVitch I can't wait for this movie. Robert Eggers does his research and his films are so detailed. I still need to see The Lighthouse.
I'm still remember the 1922's movie. I only saw it once, 20 years ago. Very effective movie. This is a very great trailer, ominous and mysterious like the vampire.
The other 2 Nosferatu VERY much still hold up while each doing something very different. I think the 20's one is public domain and even in black and white without sound is primally creepy.
Hi - when I was a kid (about 50 years ago) my Dad had a film projector and one of the films he had were highlights of Nosferatu (1922) on Super 8mm - it was scary but good - I did not see the entire film until I was an adult. You all should react to it - it’s a silent film but Max will keep you interested 😀
I’m a horror movie fan of course I’m gonna see this movie when it comes out on Christmas🔥Bill Skarsgard is one of my favorite actors, he’s definitely gonna make a frightening performance as Nosferatu!!! I’ve saw the 1922 original, it was creepy. Willem Dafoe, Lily Rose Depp, Johnny Depp’s daughter looking forward to see her performance, & Nicholas Hoult great cast💯
There was also a remake during the 70s that is well worth watching. It's long, but epic in so many ways. So far, Nosferatu is two for two with having great movies. Hopefully this one makes it three! 😉 I think because the story is so timeless, it's one of those that you can reinterpret every few decades, and it doesn't lose any of its power.
Only reason I'm sceptical of this movie is bc the last vampire movie, Last voyage of the Demeter, was an ok movie with a mid ending. The trailer looks good, but let's hope the ENTIRE movie is good
Robert Eggers didn't direct that movie. I'm guessing you've never seen one of his movies, or you wouldn't doubt his ability to stick the landing on this. The man hasn't had one single miss yet.
@@Kira1Lawliet no I haven't seen any of his movies, nor was I familiar with his name until I saw the movies he made. I'm still sceptical bc vampire (or monster) movies now aren't what they used to be. So as of right now, it'll be an ok movie until I'm proven wrong
@@cyrustheegreat I suggest checking out The Witch and The Lighthouse then if you're a fan of really strong horror. Dude is a master of his craft. I promise you, he will do this story justice. The Northman is also an amazing work of his, though not in the horror genre as much as historical epic.
@Strugglenation Thisi s giving me some Francis Ford Coppola Dracula vibes in the best and worst ways of the film. Like you both said hope they keep the Vampire off screen so you are rewarded by seeing this film. It could be special
Robert Eggers is one of my favorite directors. This film will be woke-free. Bill Istvan Günther Skarsgård at 6 feet 4 inches, will make a great Nosferatu.
In an unrelated topic, this reminds of the last time the movie trailer and marketing hid the titular character’s face until the movie release. And that was “Oz: The Great and Powerful.” And what a terrible reveal they gave poor Mila in that movie. She looked awful. Almost as bad as this new one in “Wicked.”
Seen that mofo one time on a Martin Halloween episode as a kid I think, fucked my whole night up. Couldn't sleep lmao. Then again on SpongeBob... Couldn't sleep lmao. I might have to play some Mortal Kombat after watching this film.
The silhouette of him standing in the doorway with the two wolves though
“The lights will flicker on and off”
Lmao 😂
Dudes? Can I have some ketchup?
The hash ringing slasher?
@@blacktogami3811”oh yeah, here you go” nextt!!
And the walls will ooze green slime?! Oh wait. They always do that.
M-Dogg saying people back then didn't give a f**k while referring to film in 1922 is so funny
True lol

orlok looks like the adult version of the bat boy from the tabloids 😄
Robert Eggers already dropped a banger with this trailer, we there DAY ONE
Real gangsters got introduced to Nosferatu in a Spongebob episode
Yeah, I was one of them, I remember seeing him switching the light on & off on that episode ☝️😰💡
I do you one better real gangsta’s got introduced to him in are you afraid of the dark
Finally A Real Vampire Movie I Know Robert Eggers Can Do Justice For Nosferatu.
Agreed. I'm so happy there's zero Twilight inspired films.
That's Johnny Depp's daughter, Lily Rose Depp, as the female lead. With Willem DeFoe and Nicholas Hoult, it's definitely a must see movie!
Aaron Taylor Johnson in it as well
Robert eggers must really love william dafoe he’s in every movie he made lmao
Plus Robert Eggers doing
Bill Skarsgard is Nosferatu 😊
@@ValentinasWatching
The actor who was Pennywise? Ohhhhh SHIT!!!
Robert Eggers continues to put out bangers and this looks like its going to be another one.
Yes! Been waiting for this reaction, thank you! 🧛🏻Nosferatu (1922) is such a movie. 102 years old and now this! Let’s go!

Coincidentally Willem Dafoe played Nosferatu in a movie called Shadow of a vampire.
facts. and i think i remember something about ppl absolutely hating that version 😂😂
@@RegReg02 I only saw it once. Might need to rewatch
Having watched The Northman and The VVitch I can't wait for this movie. Robert Eggers does his research and his films are so detailed. I still need to see The Lighthouse.
i remember when they showed nosferatu in that one spongebob episode😭
Yup, it was funny & scary at the same time 🤣😂
The original design of the vampire was really cool. I hope they do it justice.
Soundtrack in this trailer is chef kiss
The original Nosferatu film, was silent. And somehow, it makes it even Scarier. Max Shrek was an amazing actor.
"If that was you on the phone and you on the bus....then who was flockering the lights...?"
Also, idk if you know this, but Bill Skarsgard, Pennywise himself is playing Nosferatu:)

Stephen King's Nosferatu from Salem's lot... Was my Boogeyman.....
The original 1922 version came out when my grandpa was 3 years old. I remember seeing part of it as a kid and it scared the crap out of me.😂
Bill Skardgard is on a roll this year. Pennywise was one of the best career choices he’s ever made
Always makes my day when they upload

Just based on this trailer, this has the chance to be the best Dracula movie to date.
This movie gonna be fire!!!!
Looks absolutely fantastic!
The actor playing Count Orlock is Bill Skarsgard.
I know him as the Guy in SpongeBob

"If you were the one on the bus, then who was flickering the lights?" 🤔
fun fact william defoe was already in a nosferatu movie...shadow of the vampire
never recovered from that spongebob episode
Yall should watch the german 1979 nosferatu remake. I think this version is inspired by that
Day one!!
Just for your information the film is gonna be a remake of a silent film of the same name that was released in "1922".
I've heard this movie is F**kin Crazy
Here still waiting for Longlegs reaction before it comes out next week 😅

Beware The Grasp Of The Vampire!!!!!!!!!!

How could you not? You do know who this director is right? I get being optimistic but this guy is good.

Hopefully they won't show Bill as Orlock until the movie which is a month & a half away I want to go in cold on this.

I really like the 70's version/remake too- but only the German version- Nosferatu The Vampyre. The music adds a creep-fest for the entire movie.
M-Dogg just like me fr I also refuse to watch the original Nosferatu, that face too scary (I will not be watching this new film 😂)
