When I was 7 years old, I suffered from an asthma attack. It was middle of the night and i couldn't sleep because of difficulty in breathing.I was very scared and restless. My uncle suggested this piece of music. I listened to it whole. It calmed me down, got my breathing easy and I could sleep. Listening to this again after 14 years makes me very happy. Thank you to both of the legends ❤️
I have the privilege of meeting of both of them. I asked Hariprasadji whether his compositions are spontaneously created on stage. He smiled and mentioned that he practices "snippets" and gets feedback from his closer circle, but how the numerous snippets come out and the ordering is spontaneous. In fact it was this melody that had prompted my question. I found the chalan of Chnadrakauns is so beautifully expressed here. I encourage listeners to hear HPC's Malkauns in Stutgart (I hink in late eighties). You will see a similar and equally beautiful chalan in that raga.

This is the Concert of my Fifties! Those days; however; somewhat nearby to Platform very difficult to have Close watch to still Enjoy more while listening!! But being in young enthusiastic Age the mind all the time with the Tunes of the Raga and never realized the time! As such Panditji played the Raga Chandrakauns many a time very successful way! But this is one if large Version; perhaps being in Sangeet Mahostav every Artist come out with his complete knowledge and play in its Versatile manner Presenting before the Audience every Beautiful Spot of the Raga!! And same thing happened here! That is why Raga Chandrakauns ko " Char Chand Lag Gaye"!! It is the History in Gandharv Sageet Mahostav!! Another thing there is Tremonfdous Change in Tecnology and that is why even in My Eighties I can enjoy this still in four fold way! Great the Artist! GREAT their presentation! Great Service to Mankind! "Dhanya Jivitam"!!!

Heard this recording in its cassette format 28 yrs ago..the exploration is still ongoing with two great masters of our musical heritage with this treasure..the Moon is still behind the clouds!!
