I did enjoy playing so much in public and I was pushed into it by a gentleman who co-signed for a loan for my first Organ. BK-60 By Yamaha. Which I paid off in less than 6 months. So I had fond memories of those days. That was how I got my start in Restaurants and lounges. Also as a youngster of 10 years old I would play a piano accordion for Private parties and made more money than both parents did in a week of slavery. Yes I know it as Danny Boy as well, however some people get upset when they know it is Danny Boy as I have played in seniors homes and when I announce Danny Boy they are so sensitive to the words and they cry asking me not to and I follow thier wishes. It is a lovely song and I have enjoyed it all of my life and still enjoy this song. As you could see I didn't need a script to sing this song because the words are instilled in my heart for all to hear. @@micksayers1 No Mick Not From Ireland My Grandfather spoke Galic because he was adopted by Irish people but I learned a few Irish songs from him and some from people humming them to me like Danny Boy. I would love one day to see Ireland but my Dad's ancestral background is Welsh. I was Born in Canada. On the East Coast. I play many of the Irish tunes on the accordion, which I learned from Harry Hibbs, an accordionist from Newfoundland. He is no longer with us he had a short life and passed at 58 with a heart attack. But I listened to his records and picked it up at a very early age of 4 - 8.

I agree with our mutual friend Leonora Lily that there is a sadness to this song. The lyrics are always so heartfelt, and I am sure some people just sing it but you dear Patrick, do more than that - you put the emotion 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦into it and this is certainly a song that demands emotion. You also give it the gentle quality it needs, to stress the words and your perfect baritone register is perfect for it. I did enjoy playing so much in public and I was pushed into it by a gentleman who co-signed for a loan for my first Organ. BK-60 By Yamaha. Which I paid off in less than 6 months. So I had fond memories of those days. That was how I got my start in Restaurants and lounges. Also as a youngster of 10 years old I would play a piano accordion for Private parties and made more money than both parents did in a week of slavery. @@micksayers1 No Mick Not From Ireland My Grandfather spoke Galic because he was adopted by Irish people but I learned a few Irish songs from him and some from people humming them to me like Danny Boy. I would love one day to see Ireland but my Dad's ancestral background is Welsh. I was Born in Canada. On the East Coast. I play many of the Irish tunes on the accordion, which I learned from Harry Hibbs, an accordionist from Newfoundland. He is no longer with us he had a short life and passed at 58 with a heart attack. But I listened to his records and picked it up at a very early age of 4 - 8.

Well the year has gone very fast and yesterday I celebrated the 1 year anniversary of my channel since starting here in TH-cam. This weekend is Thanksgiving and we celebrate the harvest of all the fuits of the farmers labours and the wonderful crops that have sprung up out of the ground. Then Christmas and that is my most favorite celebration of the entire year. I agree with our mutual friend Leonora Lily that there is a sadness to this song. The lyrics are always so heartfelt, and I am sure some people just sing it but you dear Patrick, do more than that - you put the emotion 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦into it and this is certainly a song that demands emotion. You also give it the gentle quality it needs, to stress the words and your perfect baritone register is perfect for it.
It is always a delight🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷to spend time on your channel, but I feel I must apologise on this occasion, because I am late (with everything and everyone) I had a problem for some days where I was somehow blocked from opening messages 📩📩📩 so I was unable to read all but the first comment.
