Don't want to sound like a fucking child here.... but I left the UK for 10 years in my very early 20's. When I came back and seen the British woodland in the spring, it evoked so much emotion. It's a special time of year.

Alas in the Forest of Dean they are not only vulnerable to Muntjack, but widely uprooted by feral pigs (often referred to as 'wild boar', but really semi domestic animals escaped from farming).
Something extraordinary happens, though, when you find really solid areas of Bluebells - an optical effect that is unique, and very uplifting.
