  • Thank you to Umarex USA (umarexusa.com) for sponsoring this video.
We’ve taken a look at the Walther Reign in .25, and now we need to take a look at it in .22. But before we start getting into serious pellet testing and accuracy testing at the range, we need to understand how to get the most from the Walther Reign .22. Given that this is an unregulated airgun, there is going to be a shot curve. Finding the optimal pressure which yields the best and most consistent velocity is going to be critical if we want to see consistent accuracy. In this video we’ll take you through the steps of finding your optimal pressure and then putting lead on paper at 50 yards to see if we have things dialed in.

Seeing that inconstant mess on paper this gun shows , it definitely hasn’t tickled me enough to buy one. Thank god for your reviews.

That one group is an impressive group Rick. Today I was able to shoot a sub MOA 5 shot group with my Armada .22 cal. at 50 yards. I will be the first to say, it is not easy. With an unregulated rifle it is an awesome group. Great shooting Rick!

BTW........DeadEyeNC channel has a barrel tension system for your RedWolf. He says accuracy improves about 31% at 55 yards. Also Pyramid Air has the Diana 54 red laminate Air King.

Theoban used their rapid seven and did a test with their accuracy and simply put a cloth handkerchief on the barrel and the inconsistent shoes was unbelievable. The rapid seven is one of the best air rifles going and has a fully floating barrel like the walther, that chronograph is definitely going to make a diffrence on the accuracy.

Regulated only in those gun control countries,in the USA its unregulated,if one would get this rifle regulated at say 2400/2500 psi, this rifle would be Hard To Beat, short, compact and Mine is Really Accurate,Say Like i Shoot a regular sized tin type green bean 15oz or 16oz type can at 283 yards!

Thank you for your thorough report. I have been considering this rifle due to apparent quality. But, I actually think my Umarex Origin's Ever Pressure system might be acting as a faux regulator, sort of. I have a much smaller max spread than most other non regulated rifles that I see reviewed, even more so from 3000 PSI to 1900 PSI. For any 10 to 15 shot area(or more), I rarely see regulated guns with an ES that is any smaller, and often not as small. Like 1 or 2 FPS. But, what is nice about the regulated rifles is they maintain a pretty tight max spread over a larger # of shots. Oddly, possibly depending on hammer spring settings, the closer I get to 1900 PSI, the tighter the max spread and the smaller the groups. So, especially when hunting/pesting when accuracy is most important, I tend to shoot between 2500 and 1900 PSI, with very tight groups.

    Couldn't handle non reg so I put a reg.on it. Average 22 at 970fps with JSB 18.13..
And new reg has a foster fill. Good Bye fill probe..

Did you clean the barrel before shooting? I got a lot of barrel preservative gunk out of mine. It was stacking dime size groups right out of the box. I also learned if you fill it all the way instead of the sweet spot at 2800, it likes heavier pellets. The only other explanation I have for your flyers is bad skirts on the pellets.

Just going off topic at bit.... but is there a reason why you guys don't review any of the AEA/Bintacllc Air Guns?

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I’ve reached out to them several times. They have not expressed an interest other than us paying for the guns as well as reviewing them. So. We pay to promote and review their stuff. It does not work like that.
      Cheers

    Way cool!
Definitely waiting for the pt 2.
One of the recent rifles I'd wanna get. Not this exact (fixed suppressor) version of it though. About €950 in price over here - so I've been lately checking out for a Hatsan Bullboss instead (only €600).
But them being the two on my mind lately - since surely not gotten the cash for a Huben K1 (which would be my absolute #1 choice)..

This gun…IMHO…desperately needs regulated. After buying regulated PCPs like the Avenger and such for similar $…Love the size and design big time just non-regulated airguns. I have a few that are non-reg’d and just set in a gun case now, and are no longer used to be fair because of the small shot curve. If shorting 25 yards they are okay but for me past that forget it. I was going to get one for my grandson until I found it had no reg. I feel they are limited in comparison to a regulated PCP especially at a similar price point for what you get with the Avenger and what it offers even in a Bullpup configuration. Maybe they should hookup with NV?🤷‍♂️ JS. Really great looks and size and a really great start for a hunting PCP, but no reg is a hard no for me. For what they cost to make and what we pay in the end…they should have added a reg.
