That's one to watch whether or not they let you react to it. The Hua Chenyu song most start with on that competition is "Nunchucks", which is his arrangement of a rap song. "Fake Monk", which you reacted to was also a cover.

That is a singing competition show where only the greats in china can compete and also the greats in other parts of the world can join by invitation......actually philippines offered 15 contenders but they only chose KZ....she was such a sweet darling there though she lost badly....the public loved her that she kept coming back to perform after she lost.

The show "The Singer" as far as i know is a competition among pre-selected singers around the world(e.g. Jessie J, etc.). I originally started watching Singer because Jessie J was on it. I ended up watching every performance on every episode from all artists. Jessie J went on to win the competition but this performance from KZ was one of my favorites. Jessie J sang a great version of Purple Rain on this show although all of her performances were fantastic and showed her background in theater. At the end Jessie J, KZ and Coco Lee did a version of Bang Bang which was great too. Loved your reaction to this.

it is a competition of great singers they invited in the show singers should do like their concert and the audience are all musically inclined because at the end of the show they will score the singers (and also they really pay just to be in the audience and see the singers perform live) - LOVE PH ❤️
the singer is a couple of handpick singers from china competing against some handpick singers from outside of china with a reward is a concert tour in china. the sound work on this show is superb you can see also it beautifully supported in the other competitors.
On the singer each artist is only alllowed to sing two of their own songs. The others have to be covers rearranged by them. Thdy get one week to do that. Another show that Hua Chenyu is on called "The Next" they only get 24hrs. Hua Chenyu is a genius at rearranging songs. Most episodes you can get English Subtitles for. I highly recommend Hua Chenyu's rearrangement of "Nanping Evening Bell". I would listen to the original version of the song first then see how he rearranged it. Just stunning. Btw he had to make it as a duet and in 24hrs.

Hi Christi... Can I request Hua Chenyu reactions. Trying to think which one of his songs that will fit a vocal coach. He is so versatile... So I will suggest 2 song: ‘Qi Tian’ my daughter is a fan after hearing this. And ‘Flammable and Explosive’ and my son is a fan after hearing this. Both are in Singer 2018. Qi Tian is his original while Flammable is a cover. For his newest songs... it would be ‘New World’ or ‘I really want to love this world’. The later is a song about depression and hope from personal experience. I will put the link on the reply comment so it won’t get removed. Since this song is from his concert, this have the best chance of not getting blocked.

The whole package of this performance deserves the artistry label. From the arrangement, staging, instrumentations and of course KZ's rendition of vulnerability and lamentation. The la la la of the old days and the oh oh ohs of the current generation do not resonate much on me.
All the singers in this show are successful professional singers. The voting is done by the audience on-line. Hua Chenyu thought this song was the best in the competition. He became a huge fan and good friend of KZ. It is worth watching full episodes of the Singer 2018. A wonderful group of artists.

It's a competition and the only foreign participants were Jessie J and KZ where JJ won although in one episode (ep5) KZ, singing Rolling in the Deep, beat JJ.
(now that I typed all that below, I just saw that you've already reacted to Tengerr...lol....so I'd love to see you react to Hua Chenyu's version!) A reaction that I think would be remarkable is a dual reaction - first to the performance by Tengerr of his own song, Heaven, performed on this same season of Singer 2018 (th-cam.com/video/UcaPuIcKcFw/w-d-xo.html) and then Hua Chenyu's interpretation of the same song on another show called The Next (th-cam.com/video/VsC0k1qghnU/w-d-xo.html), which he performed prior to watching Tengerr perform it on Singer - I love seeing his reaction back in the green room when Tengerr is singing. I think you'll be impressed with both, although the interpretations are very different. (Chronologically Hua Chenyu performed his version first, but I think you should watch Tengerr's first to see the original version) Also, you might be excited to hear the back-up singers in Tengerr's version perform Khoomei - a beautiful style of throat-singing! The song Heaven is very personal to Tengerr (a well-known, very respected Chinese artist) because he wrote it about his boyhood homeland in Inner Mongolia - at the time he wrote it, the land was pristine and beautiful, but over the years has been ravaged by developers and was barren - you can see the emotion he feels for the situation in his performance. He was part of a movement to replenish the land, plant trees, etc, although I'm not sure what the status of that is now. It's my understanding that Hua Chenyu learned some of Tengerr's singing style during their time together on the Singer show, although I don't know details of that - I'm hoping one of the other Martians can fill in the details.

That poor guy fell head over heels for KZ during the show! Like a lovesick puppy!! But she had him firmly in the friend zone!! I still feel sorry for him!!! The show is for great singers throughout the world to compete against one another!!! Jessie J won the competition, and “that guy” finished runner up!!!

Hi Christi... Can I request Hua Chenyu reactions. Trying to think which one of his songs that will fit a vocal coach. He is so versatile... So I will suggest 2 song: ‘Qi Tian’ my daughter is a fan after hearing this. And ‘Flammable and Explosive’ and my son is a fan after hearing this. Both are in Singer 2018. Qi Tian is his original while Flammable is a cover. For his newest songs... it would be ‘New World’ or ‘I really want to love this world’. The later is a song about depression and hope from personal experience. I will put the link on the reply comment so it won’t get removed. Since this song is from his concert, this have the best chance of not getting blocked.

The whole package of this performance deserves the artistry label. From the arrangement, staging, instrumentations and of course KZ's rendition of vulnerability and lamentation. The la la la of the old days and the oh oh ohs of the current generation do not resonate much on me.
All the singers in this show are successful professional singers. The voting is done by the audience on-line. Hua Chenyu thought this song was the best in the competition. He became a huge fan and good friend of KZ. It is worth watching full episodes of the Singer 2018. A wonderful group of artists.

It's a competition and the only foreign participants were Jessie J and KZ where JJ won although in one episode (ep5) KZ, singing Rolling in the Deep, beat JJ.
(now that I typed all that below, I just saw that you've already reacted to Tengerr...lol....so I'd love to see you react to Hua Chenyu's version!)
A reaction that I think would be remarkable is a dual reaction - first to the performance by Tengerr of his own song, Heaven, performed on this same season of Singer 2018 (th-cam.com/video/UcaPuIcKcFw/w-d-xo.html) and then Hua Chenyu's interpretation of the same song on another show called The Next (th-cam.com/video/VsC0k1qghnU/w-d-xo.html), which he performed prior to watching Tengerr perform it on Singer - I love seeing his reaction back in the green room when Tengerr is singing. I think you'll be impressed with both, although the interpretations are very different. (Chronologically Hua Chenyu performed his version first, but I think you should watch Tengerr's first to see the original version) Also, you might be excited to hear the back-up singers in Tengerr's version perform Khoomei - a beautiful style of throat-singing!
The song Heaven is very personal to Tengerr (a well-known, very respected Chinese artist) because he wrote it about his boyhood homeland in Inner Mongolia - at the time he wrote it, the land was pristine and beautiful, but over the years has been ravaged by developers and was barren - you can see the emotion he feels for the situation in his performance. He was part of a movement to replenish the land, plant trees, etc, although I'm not sure what the status of that is now.
It's my understanding that Hua Chenyu learned some of Tengerr's singing style during their time together on the Singer show, although I don't know details of that - I'm hoping one of the other Martians can fill in the details.
This singer 2018 is a singing competitions between the best of china and 2 singers from the other country ..there are round that kz sings rolling in the deep that they defeat jessie j and others singers on that round so you must watch and react to it and i also remind you that kz use auto tune only in her intro of rolling in the deep and the rest is her real voice
