For Clarity/Sharing purpose: the Chinese (or other Eastern society/people group who rely on Lunar/Moon - FYI, not only the Chinese) relied on the Moon/Lunar to determine Season changes. Hence, Chinese calender was solely based on Lunar/Moon 农历, without doubt, its also known as Lunar New Year or Spring New Year 新春. However, the Georgian/Western was solely based on Solar/Sun 阳历.
In the nutshell, its pointless to argue terminologically (No Value Adding).
