I think venom and eddy are gonna fight alongside Peter, and venom will adopt the spider emblem on his chest just for funzies and that’s how we’ll get the more comic accurate look
I agree!👍 This version of Venom is so much more level-headed than any other film’s adaptations, (Topher Grace). Well, he’s still very chaotic, but Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is cool. I like him. Topher‘s adaptation gave into Venom’s cruelty and he just let loose.
Yea but he looks like the ultimate venom
But the emblem looks stupid tho
Hmmm

They were pointing towards Lethal Protector in the movie a lot
When Venom commands Eddie to cry during their dinner with Anne... I laughed so hard.
He almost cried tho 😂
Just watched it and I died laughing 😂
He didn't just command him to, he forced him to lmfaoooo
@@Pamijay facts tho 🤣
"yes baby yes cry cry"
Venom also tells Eddie “responsibility is for the mediocre." sounds its a rebuttal to spider-mans famous “With great power comes great responsibility.”
I loved that line
What I thought too
Although Carnage didnt get his true full justice I thought they handled him pretty well in this movie. When he is on screen he is so mesmerizing
How has everyone watched the movie it isn’t out in theatres?
It was moved back to an October 1st release on America. Which also means any reviewer who got an early screening is free to post.

I know they had to make this movie PG-13 so it could tie in with the MCU. Even so, I wish this could have been rated R. Carnage deserves an R rating.
Oh absolutely, making carnage PG-13 was an absolute nerf and let down
same. it makes you wonder how the mcu is going to handle deadpool. i really hope marvel studios/disney will come to realize that they have the option to carve out an r rated corner of the mcu for their more serious/gory characters but knowing disney i'm not going to hold my breath
I could definetaly deal with more blood, swearing, and overall violence but... its a small sacrifice for the greater good of humanity...

I like how Cletus got beat by his father and then combined with carnage who then got beat by his "father"

Since Venom had those knowledge he talked about, what if he knew his other universe self was killed by Tobey's spiderman? or at least felt it which was why he seemed so interested in Peter at the end
Through the simbiote hive mind

that's a good guess tbh
@@farlord9264 I do think he said he said universeS though. They were talking about the multiverse. Venom didn't bring him to the MCU though, that was probably strange.
It’s not even the same Peter lol
I wonder if Venom is just gonna be a brief cameo or if they will have a dedicated movie together cause I’m sure they r gonna send him back to the Sony verse considering how they left that future Toxin appearance in a third movie
I'm getting tired of symbiotes so I hope not

Hey Erik! I don’t think those were pain killers laying around. I think they were red M&M’s. Much like he was afraid of the “red one” when first seeing Carnage - he must not like red things and picks out the red M&M’s. Just a thought.
That's actually more believable..bcz Eddie shouldn't get painkillers cz venom fixes him
honestly the best Eddie and Venom back and forth I've seen, silly but good for sure.

@@yoda908 i think he was casted out for being honorable. They mentioned something like that in the comics. Doesnt really mean he's weak.
A detail that I caught was that Carnage’s tendrils are double helixes, a small nod to the fact that Carnage is a mixture of symbiote and blood
I think since Jonah is saying he’s a menace he’s going to try to fight Peter until he realizes he’s a PROTECTOR too and he helps him fight sinister six, that would be cool
I was thinking the same thing
Anyone else wanting an r rated directors cut with more carnage or is that just me? Its length I'm sure would be greater if they hadn't cut so much out...
I have to agree. Give me 30 more minutes to flesh out the movie and connect things, make it R rated, and it could easily be so much better
@Shin Shaman Why do you keep spamming this point verbatim? Did your mommy not hold you enough?
@Shin Shaman no one cares?
Ineeded to see him raise more hell honestly
I watched it. It was enjoyable but I didn't didn't have any time to enjoy the dinner. It was gobbled up faster than Venom can eat someone's head. This felt like a a damn good cup of noodles while Shang Chi felt like a five course meal.
I wish it slowed down a bit. So many jump cuts. Felt like the editor and director were in a rush to meet its run time limit. Like if you're writing on a paper and run out of space so you cram it down in the bottom.

@@ssskullyy_ they teamed up to fight Carnage a few times

@Shin Shaman That’s just ur opinion 🤣
There were a few scenes in this movie that could have looked and felt so incredibly astonishing if the movie were rated R. When Carnage put his tongue (pause) inside of that guy’s mouth (SUPER pause), it was such a huge disappointment. I believe that if the movie was rated R, Carnage would be regarded as one of the best cinematic villains of all time played by the great Woody Harrelson. He was great!! Cletus Kasady has such an insane background and this movie did a great job coloring that. I just wish they didn’t make him seem like an average goon. When Carnage breaks out of the prison, there is no way that he would have left that prison without leaving behind a cesspool of death. I’m sure he did, but it wasn’t shown. It was just implied. So much of what makes Carnage scary is just implications and it made me go crazy because he’s awesome!! Some scenes heavily implied that Cletus did some horrible things, especially when he stomped that guys head behind the counter; but in my opinion, the whole movie felt like it was originally created with violence and dark themes but was significantly blunted because of the PG13 rating. Still, I did enjoy the movie. The CGI was beautiful and I loved the scenery of the final fights. Sony always has a way of making pretty movies:)
yeah cause being able to see the teeth sink in would totally somehow make this awfully written villain from a disappointingly mediocre movie “one of the best cinematic villains of all time” jeez y’all could be served shit on a paper plate and you’d still think it’s a fudge brownie
@@sub-zero5433 ok the movie was mediocre but carnage was dope and there is no need to be toxic, he was just expressing his opinion.
@@sub-zero5433 Lmao😂
Cant plz people
Nah, Gore wouldn't boost him up to one of the best Villians out there, Carnage was A Threatening Villian but more of an all in good fun Villian. Fun for the audience but in reality is a pretty simple "Evil" Villian. Hes no Hannibal or Darth Vader.
People used to appreciate implied violence and gore. Leaving things to the imagination used to be an art form. Now the unwashed masses want all the gratuitous content they can get. We are reverting to the hedonism of ancient Rome it seems.
Eddie and Venom isolating/on vacation at the end of the movie feels to me like a reference of Venom's time on his island, Isla de Huesos. A prominent and iconic location in Venom lore.
@Shin Shaman settle down
@Shin Shaman you did not pass the vibe check
Why are people always angry at comic movies not being exactly like the comics? That’s literally why different comic universes exist with the same characters so we can see what someone else can come up with for their story. That said I love this venom and I loved carnage
Good point but I think people are just adjusting to “comic book” movies. At first people want it to be identical. Now, after the multi-verse has been introduced, I’d imagine people won’t be as critical.
Because they want to see the comic book story archs they love so well play out. And tbh at least Marvel was doing that to the best of their ability minus several changes. Sony was just trying to make money. Why do some people not care about source material is a better question.
Nobody is angry (the movie itself makes references to Maximum Carnage and the previous movie did the same to Lethal Protector), now people are hyped for a potential crossover with Spiderman
Carnage turned into a tornado in this movie. What a joke

Andy Serkis is one of the most underrated actors/directors out there. He's fantastic.
Venom actually is a nice symbiote but he doesn't always understand Eddie
did v comment this
Now I’m curious how exactly Venom created the Carnage Symbiote
In the comics symbiotes, aka Klintars, reproduce asexually. They form buds of their offsprings that fall off forming a second Symbiote when they have eaten enough. In the movie, Cletus bit Eddie and Venom and removed by chance the Bud of Carnage, which he then swallowed.

If Doc Ock and the rest of the multiversal villans in No Way Home are taken from the point of their deaths in those movies, could Venom sharing the knowledge of the hivemind with Eddie have been too much for his mind to handle, thus it being his point of death in his universe?
That’s good
Can u explain “point of death”

If Sony are setting up Toxin then Venom must be returning to his Universe at some point to deal with that. Plus i think that was Venom in Dr Strange prison because the dark shadow had shiney reflection on his shoulders. I don't think Lizard's skin will do that but Venom's 100% does. The church scene is a callback to Spiderman 3. They also used the bell in that battle.
Sigfried is clearly a nod to Freud and parental issues for carnage 😂😂
Isn't it Sigmund Freud?
Amazingly the phenylethylamine actually exists and is a mood stabilizer/central nervous system stimulant similar to amphetamine.. it's also found both in our bodies naturally and in chocolate but it's also found in things like natto (fermented soy beans) eggs, almonds, certain beans and even wine as well as a few other things. BTW has anyone else noticed how Tom's pinky on his right hand is always curled up? The whole thing about biting the head off the priest powering Carnage up is that he just consumed a brain and the brain is supposed to give them extra powers the more they eat... sort of like Tyranid Genestealers in Warhammer 40,000 or like how vampires supposedly power up every time they feed.
I could totally see Venom becoming a wine mom once they realize that it contains phenylethylamine. Well, wine ex-mom now that Carnage is out of the picture, but Carnage wasn't their only offspring from the comics, so there's always potential to explore that family dynamic somewhere down the line.
Eddie has so many M&M's in his house cause that's Venom's favorite rapper
So this Venom must know what the SM3 Symbiote went through
Carnage is so menacing (design wise) but lacking on power display in this movie. His Evil presence is diffused by the jokes on the scenes which is kinda made the the movie generic in a sense that there's no threat/danger feel to it.
Love the character development in this movie and the Eddie, Eddie relationship, but wanted so more CARNAGE
This movie was so good!! I liked the first one, but this one definitely improved. It was the perfect length, the story made sense, I loved the conflict and action-it was just great. A really good watch, I want to see it again🙌🏾

I think that venom’s design will change to match spider man’s costume design to represent how peter thought eddie and venom what it means to be protectors than monsters
I laughed out loud when I saw the multiple holes in the ceiling I thought It was so funny for some reason
I wish they'd stop killing off the villains. Carnage is a great enemy for Venom and Spiderman

Could anyone shine a light on why shrieks eyes change color through the movie from white to blue and why the cops eyes turn blue when toxin is red and black in the comics?
The eyes are still bluish in comics. Shriek had a mutation power accordingly so yeah.
Toxin's body is Red and Black in comics with bluish eyes, a less monstrous and carnage like appearance except that his face resembles a Symbiote spiderman more often. He only seems to get bigger and have teeth when he gets angry.
Venom is really true good friend. I wish i had a friend like him.
It was the priests’ brains that Carnage used as the “power up”.
The actor who played the priest is Reece Shearsmith. He has made good tv shows like Inside No 9, The League of Gentlemen, and Psychoville!
Keep it up on your work and this channel
I also noticed that the ending of venom and Eddie on the island could be a reference to venom island
I lost it when venom went to a rave and had glowsticks on him. 😂😂
I think the ending scene where they are on the beach is after they are transported through the multiverse because how else would they have gotten there. Also Eddie is wearing the same clothes on the beach he got from the end credits scene.
Just watched the movie and holy hell it’s good
Best line is: time to die, that’s the spirit venom, no we’re going to die
cant just look over "the phoenix will rise" with the phoenix existing as a staple of the marvel universe
