I know it sounds corny to say, but I am a long time student of talk radio. My parents listened to it when I was a kid, it's soothing, and it's always new. There is an art to doing radio, especially for a lone guy. Very VERY few can do it. The top 2 are Rush Limbaugh and Mike David. Content aside, and I know that's hard for a lot of people to do with Limbaugh, but I've always said, "If you didn't speak English, Rush Limbaugh would still be a good listen." It's the voice, the pacing, the pauses, the pronunciation, anticipation, etc. And I know I'm on the right track of thinking on this because Mike David and Rush have/had the exact same view on "guests & callers." Every other show NEEDS guests and callers. They are good enough to know that THEY are what the audience wants, THEY are the "star," and guests are only interested in selling and talking about their things.

Dude I’m the same. I discovered Redbar randomly in late 2021 and fell in love. It’s everything I ever wanted in a podcast. But, as I’m sure you can relate, some the clips (ie this one) are very confusing. His Reddit is a total mess and the veterans refuse to help newbies.

Denny is so slimy. Suggesting getting Twitter followers, who could be in any geographic location, to show up at your show is anything like directing them to a Kickstarter/gofundme link is ridiculous.
Denny continued to try a million different things with minimal effort and has gotten absolutely nowhere. Trying to be a right wing comedy grifter is really the ultimate humiliation and a one-way ticket out of the entertainment industry.
It’s a shame that Mike tried to warn him about where this would take his career, and ultimately, his personal life. All he had to do is listen.

He's our elected representative. The angle of "You aren't a comedian, so you can't comment on our comedy" is shit. Fans of comedy know much more about comedy than those that TRY to perform it. We know it's hard to be a good comedian, that's why there are so few and that's why we don't pretend to do it at open mics. But these Denny and Melton types are like bad high school basketball players that could never go pro, but there is a league where they can call themselves professionals for the next 30 years.
