When this show came on My mom used to turn up the TV while I was laying in the bed trying to go to sleep... I would stick my head under my covers and plug my ears..... She knew I was absolutely terrified of this theme song....still gives me chills till this day

I found out about X Files back in January when it came back. I never heard of it until then but I watched the series and loved it and the theme. For my birthday I had not only series 10 on DVD but series 1-9 and the two movies in a set on DVD. X Files is my ultimate favorite television series ever and I want more X Files on television. Long live X Files

I LOVED the x-files as a kid, even if the melody creeped me out, and I kid you not, when my family and I were on our way home from relatives (in Serbia in a village), that melody (whole song) came on the radio right when we passed the cemetery at the end of the village, the moon was full and lightning up the gravestones, I cant even begin to describe what a feeling that was 😮

The X-Files = the greatest series ever made since television began and probably amongst the best media productions ever produced in my opinion, everything about the show is perfection. I cannot wait for the new series to air here in the UK in January.

Every time this theme song came on back when it aired my dad, my older brother and myself would dance around the living room to this. Miss those days.
While I was working on my PhD, I lived next door to a single mom and her two teenage kids and that family watched the X-Files DVDs pretty much every day for the 4 years I lived there. Whenever I opened my windows or walked out my front door, there was a pretty good chance that I was going to hear this music coming from their place.
If I remember correctly, this aired on Friday nights at 9 pm just as I was walking the tiers conducting an inmate count at Pelican Bay State Prison. A majority of the inmates would watch it on their television’s and the music would echo throughout the cell block. That was 29 years ago, how time flies.
