- Welcome to part 4 of 5 videos where I overhaul the rear roof of my house. In this video I finish the ridge tiles, fit soffit board and uPVC fascia and soffit cladding as well as gutters and painting the house. This roof isn't part of my loft conversion series but was the last roof section on my house to be overhauled. Enjoy!! To watch the complete project click here - • Back roof overhaul

Looks like your neighbours extension is way over the boundary, love the channel 👍
I think you're right, the wall is bang on central but the roof overhangs. It was like it when I bought the house and was built about 20 years ago so it was it is I guess. Thanks for the feedback 👍
Another lovely job done !
Thanks for watching 👍

That's roof looks wicked
Glad you like it. Thanks for the feedback.
Amazing
Be proud of yourself Pouse and give yourself a Big Pouse - pat on the back!!!!!
Will do!!
Looks like I have the same black guttering. The neighbours have the same in white and they always look dirty and have to be cleaned. I wipe mine off once a year when I clear them from leaves. For the same reason, why would one have red roof when black one will never look too dirty?
Like my ridge tiles?! 🤣 Thanks for watching.
Hi Pouse. I assume this conversion is completed now. Can I ask how long it took doing it yourself and if building control is okay with the time it takes you to complete the next section of work inbetween inpsections? Thank you
Yes complete, it took about 2 half years in total to getting carpet down but I had 7 months of doing nothing many months of few hours here, few hours there so difficult to say. In that time I had my second child and we had the covid pandemic so time and materials were limited! I couldn't get hold of plaster for months. As for building control I did a building notice and you can pretty much take as long as you like as long as you update them of stages. Just speak to your building officer, they're really helpful. Hope that helps.
