I know exactly how you feel. I got to where I couldn't water my plants and family members said they would. They never did. Most of my plants are dead. And it took years to get it to the standard we had, and now it's like crap. I wish there was somebody in my area who will help out because I can't afford to pay anybody. I want to get things set up somewhere. I can have a garden and grow my own fruits and vegetables. Ben, Paul and Collin - I teach English to new immigrants in our Illinois community. I've been doing it for 23+ years to people from over 70 countries. Some of my students never even got to learn to read or write their first language, but all become a small family together in my classroom. It's teacher paradise but I'm pretty tired by the end of the week. I so look forward to the hard work you three put in to help your neighbors and community. Thought to myself, “Ben’s a good soul and a fine man, who at that moment has no idea how many people’s lives he is going to change by helping them, and how many more people he’ll inspire to do the same.”
I’m truly thankful he has this channel, and has brought me along with him.

Ivy and brambles in the UK really are something else. You'll see enormous banks growing in any abandoned/neglected land - the sides of roadways and railways are absolutely rampant with them. Though there are perks to brambles at least - wild blackberries are my favourite fruit! I can't buy the ones you see in the shops anymore, they're just so inferior in taste. I go blackberrying each year for the ones growing near my house instead. Though I always stick to the banks of them along footpaths/public walking routes. I wouldn't want to eat the ones growing amonst all the car fumes!

One cannot responsibly shred brambles or ivy, sadly, (or, indeed things like ground elder roots) as every little piece has the ability to root and start a new plant - can you imagine the nightmare - those are the bane of English gardeners lives; you pretty much have to burn them to be sure they are gone
The birds love ivy, as nesting spots and as berries for food, but that just spreads it even further, and a lot of people have allergies to it, and the pollen too
Birds, butterflies, bees, even foxes, they all love th brambles for cover, for food and protection from things that dont like strong thorns!
Relax for a season, and the garden is quickly overtaken by them again

Oh yes, got my garden back to clear a couple of years ago, and it's back to so dense I cant get to the shed at the bottom of the garden - one is a dessert blackberry - lovely big fruit, but on thick stems with big thorns to match😨, but very rampant - one really needs power tools to keep things under control these days! Privet is another one that was a very 1950s plant in gardens, but also grows like a weed, alongside the lilac and the hawthorn hedges - I'm glad that Kress, and then folk like Kathleen, ensure our heroes have tools that are up to the job - and the lovely residents ensuring the heroes are fed and watered, too

I have just done a garden clearance myself (my own) and it was a daunting task, but had you guys for inspiration, I stopped waffling and got cracking! Its only when you do it that you realise how physically exhausting this work is. Henchman ladders are fantastic - I wish I had purchased sooner! Love your videos and keep up the great work lads!
