After School is looked at as a great girl group that was let down by the company, but the truth is that AS had a hard time to generate fans and sales. Boy group fans are usually young girls who spend much money on merch and albums. Girl group fans tend to be a little bit older guys that watch them in TV and YT and then spend their money on the latest video games. It's a simplified breakdown but essentially that's it. It's very hard to have a business success with a girl group. The amount of boy groups and the years they last compared to girl groups clearly shows.

And those singers career are very short. Even when they have successful groups like SNSD or T-ara they can't avoid scandals and bad practice. In the 80's the American movie industry was producing very successful entertainment products (Lucas, Spielbergs, Robert Zemeckis...) and some of that money was allowing more artistic and less commercial directors like David Lynch or David Cronenberg to make great movies.
You should have bought their albums instead of blaming Pledis. Pledis is a company not a charity if Pristin made money they wouldn't have disbanded the group
