Didn't use the bind off technique, but I LOVE the last finishing stitch. I'm making fingerless mitts and the join is invisible. The neatest I've ever achieved. Thank you x
I'm so happy to hear Peanut is doing well. Hug him and kiss him from another kitty mama. On another note, I have watched many videos on a stretchy BO for the tops of toe-up socks but I find yours to be the one I like best. We shall see as I haven't tried it yet. :)
Best ever. Tension based on use. I’m using today for knit stitches and need a fairly close tension. It’s so beautiful and easy. I’ve also used your video and instructions in the recent past for ribbing bind off. Thanks so much!! ❤
I like it and will try it when I go toe up. I usually go Cuff down and noticed others mentioning that the like the German CO with the long tail CO. Thank you, so much, your so fun to watch and enjoy your so personable. 😊
Thanks! Really enjoyed learning this bind-off, and will use it on the socks I'm knitting now. Glad that Peanut is healing nicely. Also, I really like the sloths on the bookcase behind you!
I too love this bind off, though I find it much prettier worked in all knit, not in pattern using the purl stitches. You might experiment and see if you like this look better too.
This is quite similar to Jenny's surprisingly stretchy bind off, as in both cases you are adding a little extra length of yarn to make it stretchy. It seems a little more complicated to be honest, what do you think the advantages are?
Thank you for this tutorial. I really appreciate the way you demonstrate and teach. I love the heel on that sock do you have a tutorial for it? I know FLK is paid , I have it but it isn’t memorized. I would like to see how it is done with a textured stitch. I tried it once 😂the heel is a challenge enough without adding more thing to think of.
HiJana, thank you for this tutorial. It just came on the right time. I was searching for a good bind off. I am also searching for your little project sock knit protect thingie(grin). I am searching your tuto's but can't find it, can someone help me??? Thank you from the Netherlands
Nice one…thanks for another addition to my growing list of knitting tips. 👍🏼 Your blanket is looking good. You’re lucky to have such generous friends. 😊 On another note, I noticed your heel as you were setting up this sock, you use the FLKH which is my fave but you have a “partridge” style. Is that how you did it? Do you have a video where you speak to this? Thanks for your contribution.
I'm using this bind off on my socks now but for some strange reason I'm really really struggling to pick up the yarn when doing the knit 2 together. It's probably just me but... Grrr

I love this bind off! Happy to hear kitty is healing, give him hugs and a scratch behing the ears from me.
So glad Peanut is doing better. Thanks for this tutorial
Aw, Peanut is gorgeous! I hope he heals quickly. I'm a cat lover. we have two males and two females.
I've tried so many different "stretchy" bind-offs for toe-up socks, but this one was the one that finally worked for me! Thank you so much!

Great bind off so thanks Jana. Glad Peanut is getting on ok!

This one I will be returning to. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Thanks for the new bind off technique, I’ll have to use it the next time I do a toe up sock. Glad Peanut is adjusting and healing.
I love this bind off so much better than others I’ve use.

I make socks for my husband's giant feet. High instep etc....his socks always wear out at the top, at the bindoff. This binding really works for him.
I use this method a lot as it's just so easy for ribbing.
Thanks for this I have tried iT and It works great. 🎉🎉
For the next few months I’m going to be wearing a series of casts on my right foot due to surgery. This will be really useful. Thanks!

Great video, thanks! Have you ever thought about doing a video on your high arch tips for socks? I cannot get a sock to fit just right🤷♀️🤷♀️
Good bind off, I’ve done this, but the right needle is a crochet hook. I’ve done two mitered square blankets, still love doing them!

I like this method, also I think it will sit on my leg looser as I have to be careful now with swollen legs.
Gracias por enseñar ese cierre elastico 🙏🏻,que se mejore su 🐱 😊🇺🇾

To add the reinforcement, textured stitches, I'm just alternating knit one, slip one on the right side of the fabric, then purling back. Easy!

After reading other comments, I got my answer for the heel texture. 😊

Does this technique work for K1,P1 bind off?
I haven't tried it on a 1x1 ribbing, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
Y knitt from the toes? Strange for me. Do you have instructions for this kind of knitting 🧶?
Yes! Here is a whole playlist
