    Thank you very much for the video! What is your objective is awareness, and you are not that interested in clicks, but more about generating awareness of your brand and spreading the word out? How important is the CPC then?

      Hey Guada-
      Hmmm, interesting question. You can bid by click or impression. This video from AJ goes deeper into selecting your objective for your ads.

      I wouldn't recommend using the awareness objective on LinkedIn since it's CPM only, and I'd prefer to use Engagement instead since I can change my bid type between CPC/CPM/Auto based off of whatever is going to be the cheapest.
      Even if I'm going after awareness only, CPC is still a valuable metric to understand if my audience cares about what I'm showing. If it makes my actual CPM lower by bidding CPC, or vice versa, I'll do that. When LinkedIn says they optimize towards something, it doesn't usually they get you the best cost performance.

    Hi, A.J.! Awesome video. In 5:47, something doesn't add up. You're saying Text ads conversion rates (3% - 4%) are slightly higher than sponsored ads. However, you stated earlier, that the conversion rate for sponsored ads should be somewhere around 15%. Thanks!

      LinkedIn doesn't publish any averages by industry, unfortunately. These are a good basis to use, though, for any industry.

    Thank you, this is very helpful in a decision to run ads on LinkedIn or not. Do you think the more people who start advertising the costs could go down? Is there a video showing how you set up an ad and what you can choose from to narrow down your audience?

    • @SocialMediaExaminer
      @SocialMediaExaminer  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, Chris! Thanks for being such a faithful member of the tribe! AJ can speak more to this, but it has been my experience (at least on other platforms) that costs only rise with advertisers on the platform... supply and demand. But LinkedIn has a different culture than other platforms with different targeting options, so it still might be a great fit for you. Also, we are working on more LI tutorials with AJ, so stay tuned. -Mitch

      @@SocialMediaExaminer Thank you for the response! I am interested in LinkedIn! I have had my account since around 2003 but have not really paid all that much attention. Since the format has changed so much it is interesting to learn all about it.

    • @AJWilcox
      @AJWilcox 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SocialMediaExaminer Yeah, this is totally the case. The more advertisers who join, the more expensive it will get. The only thing that will bring costs down is if more people start spending more time on the platform, creating a bunch of new ad inventory for advertisers. That would bring costs down. This is happening, but advertiser demand is still creeping up higher.

We are spending 50 k per month and have got 10 leads with CPL-5000 INR. We have chosen manual bidding with CPC- 180. Any suggestions pls? Thanks

    Fantastic info! I am running a Lead Gen campaign using sponsored content. My CTR is at 0.73% and my CPC is at $6.61 but I'm not getting the leads I'd like. How can I improve there?

    • @AJWilcox
      @AJWilcox 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great early benchmarks! That means your ads are hitting the mark. If conversion rate is poor, though, I'd look at the form itself (asking too much info? Offer actually attractive/valuable)

    • @christopherj.norris4696
      @christopherj.norris4696 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AJ Wilcox thanks for the reply! Tbh, the form offers no value except to try and get their info so an admissions rep can reach out personally. It’s only asking for name, email and job title.

    • @AJWilcox
      @AJWilcox 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@christopherj.norris4696 ok yeah that's the recommendation that I'd give then. Give something of value so it's worth them opting in. Otherwise, expect 1.5-4% conversion rates and anything over that would be spectacular.

    at 5:40 - "The conversion rate for text ads is slightly higher than sponsored content ads"? How can text ads have a higher conversion rate than sponsored content??

    • @AJWilcox
      @AJWilcox 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would expect that it's because you know you're clicking on an ad when you click a text ad, so you're probably more willing to convert. Sponsored Content gets more people who are curious.

    1.5% CvR if your a small company is actually pretty decent. I've seen far lower ;)

    • @AJWilcox
      @AJWilcox 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True! If that conversion is worth a lot of money, it can still be profitable! Just so hard to scale with such high ad costs for many small businesses.
