in the sumer sand builds up and you can walk over the rocks from kalalau but that is illegal but no one will stop you all the way out there, the only real legal way to enter the valley is to swim. in the winter the currents will be very strong and against you on the way back, not recommended unless you have fins AND are a very very very strong swimmer. Not allowed to land any boats or aircrafts on beach do to it being sacred to hawaiians. they would bury there chiefs out here in this valley.
