I found the hiker tunnel last December when the Clingmans Dome road was closed. My friend and I were parked at the gate, and it's a very short walk from there. Look for the stone along the edges of the road. On the left, you'll see the Newfound Gap Road directly below.Look over the right and you'll see the tunnel. It's a short scramble to get down. You can also find it from the AT, I believe, if you keep an eye to the left ad look for the stone wall. Love your videos!
Oh awesome thanks for the details! Hikers like to be a little vague about the location (it's nice to have secret spots lol). I've been on that portion of the AT but never noticed it - probably wasn't thinking to really look either lol. And thank you - I'm glad you like them! :-)
I was wondering how long it took ya’ll to do both hikes? I’m headed to the Smokies in June and I’m trying to decide if I should do what ya’ll did, or take the Alum Cave Trail to Mt. Leconte....

last time I went to the jump off there were 3 guys up there chillin with a camp stove making coffee. It was pretty awesome.

Yes it is! Looks like @kjhack knows where it is so I'm gonna try again! :) And the Jumpoff is notorious for cloud cover. ;)
