With this release, would you say that an additional GoPro/DJI Action on top is pointless? The way the footage is looking now, I can't see a reason to add another camera. This should be really beneficial, especially for the smaller 2-2'5 drones if they're equipped with the O4 unit, you could skip the Naked GP too, wouldn't you say?
If you want the lowest latency in the goggles AND cinematic motion blur in recorded footage, you'll still want a separate camera. However the O4 AU is essentially an action 4 / avata 2 and has the same capabilities
@@adnankazi2215 Don't "upgrade" You can't change antennas on G3, the battery is internal, basically the only benefit is 60mbits with o4 and the low latency mode, which most people don't need because they are already fliming onboard so mbits is not important.
Really nice video. Alot of videos tell you not to use the dji remote and instead use ELRS. I see you do use the controller 3. Could you comment on your experience with the controller 3 and the 04 pro unit. - Espcially how the range and signal performs It would be a huge help to me. Thank you
That's true only for RC2 with DJI Googles 2. There was a bug which I also encountered before, that's why I switched to ELRS. The bug was that RC2 randomly lost connection from DJI O3. DJI didn't resolve this bug. For DJI Googles 3 with RC3, the RC3 only talks with Googles 3 instead of directly with O3 / O4 Air Unit. It is a very reliable link. The real reason why I'm fine with RC3 + Googles 3 is the range and penetration, which are even better than ELRS 1W.

Very impressive what you get from the new O4 Air Unit. I'm also quite fascinated what you could do with a 3.5" drone when there's no added weight from an action cam 🤩
@@MatthiasDangl It isn't quite! The camera is slightly thicker and has different mounting screws so you will need an adaptor to slot it in. Joshua Bardwell's video explains how it's different.

Very good upload Matthias How does it behave on La Palma with the air traffic law for drones. Is the A2, the remote pilot certificate sufficient or do you need further authorisations to be allowed to fly there? Übrigens, klasse Aufnahmen. Beste Grüße Martin
Danke Martin! You can check Spain‘s drone map to see where you can fly legally without entering national parks. Also when flying close to people’s homes you have to tell the police at least 3 days before you fly. For commercial flights you need additional permissions.

I actually used the antenne mounts of my Geprc Cinelog35 V2 and put them onto my Pavo35. But even without them it‘s easy, You can alsonput one Antenna to the back and one to the side of the fpv frame to cover different angles.
@MatthiasDangl can u advise something I can buy i was thinking avata 2 but it's all new to me my only drone to date is the air 2s but sold recently, I was wanting something but as u know like action cameras etc there's always one on the horizon any help appreciated thanks
@@MatthiasDangl perfect i think that 30 is the absolute minimum, i dont know why many still think they have to shoot with 24, it really annoys me when the picture stutters and i see every frame. I shoot at 60 for a clean, fluid image.
@MatthiasDangl yeah i understand but it's still not a good frame for o4, I am sticking with o3 on my pavo35 until they come out with a more durable option

You will get 10-20% better quality with an osmo action or gopro in top of it. But I prefer the O4 Pro from now on 🤝🏼
My only doubt is should we upgrade G2 to G3 ?

I've put it closer to the bottom to get even more lower-ground shots

Technically the o3 also had a dual antenna but that put both of them in one casing whereas now each antenna gets its own case with the o4
