I’ve been a hygienist for many years and all your videos are spot on. Another thing I’d like you to add is to do a working interview where you go in for a few hours and actually see patients. It really helps with getting a better feel for your first day.
Thank you for being "real" and sharing - Your advice on how to navigate a new career is brilliant! You give practical advice and respect for our profession, as well as for our patients and employers. I 100% admire your humility - lucky Dentist that has you is his/her practice!!

Love your videos. I worked in an office with a great dentist. Unfortunately he would do his exam for example before he started a composite that would take 45 minutes of his time. So there would still be areas of calculus and plaque on my patient's teeth. Difficult to do an exam with build-up still on teeth, right? Often I would have to call the doc back in to check an area. By then, my next patient would be there. I would attempt to move my needed re-examed patient to another room or take needed xrays on my next patient but the room would already be set by the dental assistant for their next appt. I tried to explain how to keep the flow moving, but it was difficult. I still ❤ed this office. Anyone else with this prob?
