If it wasn't for all the crazy lawfare, I'd be somewhat mindblown, that in the AJ case, the trustee is allowed to remain in charge, allowed to do another auction, and TheOnion is still allowed to bid. What occurred is fraud, which was done as a collaboration between the SH families, the trustee, and The Onion. It appears to me, the judge is secretly ok with the shenanigans, but has to retain some appearance of credibility.
