- In this video I go through the process of how we installed a recessed foot-pedal tray into my Triton bass boat. The project made me a little nervous since I was cutting a large hole in my boat, but it turned out great after we got it cleaned up in the end.

Good video. I'm pretty sure I just purchased the same tray cause they are identical. My didn't come with the plumbing hardware. What did you use?
I just bought one for my 97 800xls nitro knowing I wanted to recess my pedal but I cannot believe how bog the tray is I know it will look small as soon as the pedal it in but wow right now it looks huge
I understand that, I also thought the pedal was very big before I installed it.
Boat is looking nice. Would like to see vids on how that helix 5 is working for you. I want on but I’m scared it will be too small for me too see good while I’m standing up.

I'm very close to recessing the pedal on my '01 Triton, was unaware of the beam down the center.
What model and YR is your boat?
Yes sir most Tritons have it. My boat is an ‘04 TR 175
Thanks for the video. I have a 2005 Tr175 Triton and have been wanting to install a recess pan. How is your deck holding up now that you have had it install for awhile? Removing a section of the beam was my biggest concern. Have you noticed any decline in over all deck stability?
So far I have not noticed any difference in the deck stability. Still very solid!
Would you have offset the pedal recess more to the left or more to the right of center, based on which foot you actually use to control your trolling motor with...???
Usually it is always a good idea to try to keep it centered on the boat. I have found myself using the pedal with both my left and right foot.
