    I was 18 years old and encouraged to drink at the Enlisted club while in the Marine Corps. Shouldn't that be considered a service connected alcohol use disorder?

    What if your doctor put you on medication for several years and does not listen to you and now I am addicted to my pain meds

    If the Navy doctors at Bethesda Medical prescribed large doses of opioid and fentanyl pain medication for pain related to Menetriers and Chemotherapy x2, then released from military service at 85% disability. Then VA cut meds by 75% in one visit without withdrawal help. Addiction continued with street opioids until overdose and requested rehabilitation and received rehab of 35 days in patient. Started drinking alcohol to deal with PTSD. PTSD is part of my rating. Does the VA allow for opioid addiction caused by military hospital and not treated? Addicted on opioids in hospital for 2 yrs.

    Can grossly inappropriate behavior fall in this category? And also veterans in the justice system?

    I have chronic pain and get pain meds from VA. I’m scared to try claiming substance abuse or seek help because most likely they will cut my pain meds. I would do about anything to not have my med benefits cut. I am 70% for my spin and anxiety disorder secondary. I’m currently waiting my decision on an increase. Any ideas? Thoughts?

    So I have 70% for PTSD, that means I can’t file for substance abuse as a secondary even if the PTSD caused it??? I have to link it to something else wrong with me like gerd, then use it as a secondary ?

      I have 70% and have alcohol and substance abuse as secondary listed as personal trauma

    Went to ARC in Jacksonville NTC, now the VA has denied my claim, said it is "Willful misconduct", but okay the anxiety, anger management, and depression. What gives???

    Hello, what if I am going to outpatient treatment for alcohol. I am currently in a group meeting through the VA and am on Naltrexone for my drinking.

      Good to hear you're receiving treatment, Keo. Do you have an open claim for disability with the VA?

    Do you help with submitting claims?

    • @HillAndPonton
      @HillAndPonton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, we do not help with the initial filing of claims. We recommend speaking to a local Veterans Service Officer who can help you get started and can typically show you which forms you may need to complete. We can step in once the VA has awarded a rating decision on a disability claim.

    I would like someone from your firm to look at my disability case. How do I go about doing so?
