I'm a fan of Disney and I will be seeing every single one of these. I would do the same for WB & Dreamworks it does not matter.
I don't understand why others don't understand why Disney is doing this? First money and there's nothing wrong with that. Disney is a BUSINESS! You can't be a business if you don't act like one. Find the quickest path to money and go for it. Second, people want it. Nostalgia, is a bitch. I've always wanted to see this much like I've always wanted to see the X-Men or Spider-Man on the big screen. I have a 3 year old son who loves the Lion King and freaked out when he saw the new one.
Now, the most important note: You two are the only ones who can rip something I love to shreds and me be completely fine with it. Love you guys!

      Madmaniac,
Yes. Yes I am. I was told I would destroy the world. I tried fighting it for years but quickly realized I was the problem. Now I’ve embraced that notion. Currently, I’m training my 3yo in the art of kindness, acceptance and understanding. He’s doing really well so far and is very compassionate towards many life forms. Once he turns 4 he will begin training in Jujitsu, for self defense. Piano, for artistry and love of music. Soon we will have the world at our feet. Soon everyone will be forced to endure our kindness.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for reading. I appreciate you.

And with mulan that sound track is so incredible and I love the music, it’s such a good story and I don’t think the movies from the 90’s 2000’s are old enough to be rebooted, just keep doing the old ones

The casting is great, the additional story elements are so good & they do a great job at making her a likable character that isn't simply a woman who needs rescuing. Everyone made a huge deal out of B&TB but it's not a patch on Cinderella.

Most excited: Either Lion King or Mulan. If they do Mulan closer to the original tale, it could be really interesting, and I'm excited to see how it goes. For Lion King, I know they're not going to deviate much, but I don't really care, since Lion King is Hamlet with lions. It'll be interesting to see how the performances go.
Least excited: Aladdin. Aladdin is my favorite movie of all time, and I'm not ready for an inferior version of it. They had an easy out for the movie too. Put the mother back into the plot and add the songs that they had to cut before they dramatically changed the movie. That way the movie is different enough that it warrants existing, and it honors the memory of Howard Ashman by putting the songs he wrote that got cut back into the movie.

The first Disney live-action remake was actually The Jungle Book (1994). It’s the only one I’ve seen, (apart from bits of 101 Dalmatians when my parents had it playing while I visited once) and likely the only one I’m going to see. I might change my mind about that if Mulan is still a musical and is also a wuxia film with crazy sword-fighting on wires, because that would be awesome.
