V is a very generous artist! He let his band shine and have their moments. That’s one of the things I like about him. He is such a big star but yet so humble, organic, and true to himself.
I'm not kidding when I say I watch this Tiny Desk every other day or so. The performances are incredible, and V's voice is on another level. He's just mesmerizing, and clearly in his element. When he was putting "LayoVer" together, he did so with the express thoughts of performing with a live band. Every single member of BTS is a top tier soloist as well. We're so lucky we get to experience their artistry.
You guys need see him in Band Session. Sitting in a armchair. Barefoot. Luve. With the wondeful band and backing vocals. And he plays saxophone at the end. So cozi.

I 💯% agree. With focusing on music and minimal "flashy" stuff, Tae really gave us a masterpiece with not only Layover but all his performances during his album promotion. For a guy who thinks he's not as talented as some of the members, I hope Tae realizes that he is so darn talented! His live vocals throughout his performances and the instruments were true music 🎶 for true music lovers!!! BRAVO 👏🏼 TAE 🫶🙌💜
Taehyung loves sax, he also learned it for 4 years but stopped when he joined BTS but now he's again practicing it, he even played it in live band session of slow dancing

Taehyung's relationship with his entire team (actors, dancers, the band, the staff) left me even more in love with that beautiful man🥹❤️ It's so cute to see him interact with everyone so naturally and so close. The work environment stops being work with him around, Taehyung makes people feel comfortable with him. He's someone so warm, with so much charisma, that his joy and enthusiasm is contagious, it's impossible not to adore him, not to smile when you see him happy, know someone like him or more precisely him is to win in life. More than co-workers, they end up becoming a beautiful family, who welcomed Taehyung and made him feel free, he enjoyed working with them so much that it comes across the screen. I can only thank the entire team who was with him for treating Taehyung with respect and affection, the result of that was seeing him with a beautiful smile in each behind-the-scenes video, sharing moments with the team, having a good time, and creating beautiful memories 🥹❤️

Yes, you're right... V's voice is very unique, smooth, smokey in one. Even the Irish Vocal Teacher (who was in The Rise Of Bangtan eps. 5) fell in love hearing V's soulful voice, I also really like his voice and soul plus the live band that V really likes... this is really his style 💜

This was an incredible display of musicality. Just the courage to put something like this out, which is absolutely not typical in kpop and wouldn’t necessarily have an audience … big props to V for doing music that HE wants to do. Really beautiful. And his live vocals was really supreme 💜👏🏻👑

Great reaction guys. V's complete album went on my permanent playlist the first time I heard it and I have to admit I revisit this Tiny Desk Concert weekly just to get my blood pumping. BTS together is astounding but experiencing these guys in their own element is on another level. I can't wait to see how they meld the confidence from their outstanding single performances, military experience and the added maturity time will give them until their reunion.

Don't worry, BTS will return and come together as a group again in 2025, after all their military duties. They will come back bigger and better, and it'll be EPIC. As they say, "absence makes the heart grow fonder", and during this period, their ARMY has not diminished. In the meantime, while they are waiting for each other to complete their duties, the other members of BTS are exploring individual projects which I think is fabulous, they get to show off their individual styles and talents. You guys are doing great.
Layover was just an EP album ( mini), and just an intro to the world to know who kim taehyung is ? And what type of music he likes and his vocal ability. That's the focus here. Taehyung working on his selfmade( wrote, compose & produce by him ) for prev 5 years.. And it will come soon as taehyung said its almost ready. Imagine when the intro album being like this than the actual album level? Gonns be insane

Thanks for loving V and Layover. I think it is, of all the solo albums, the one which most frees the soloist to be himself in his own musical world. Perhaps the least surprising, because we have all seen V loving this style of music, while Jimin and JHope presented a completely new side of themselves. However, while we've seen V loving such jazz, he has never looked more relaxed and in his moment and being so simply himself. It's an absolute delight. As a student in the 70s I listened to so many different types of music from classical to heavy rock, folk to pop and of course smooth rock, but one of my comfort sounds was Billy Holiday, Her music has this same hypnotic and comforting vibe, and yet also incorporates social commentary that was both essential and very clever. V's album is much less complex in its message, but "For us" has a similar power in the context of separation and longing for the relationship with fans and each other. I am weepy now. Like you I love his relationship with the band also - but, you know, BTS have always called out their bands in live performances of this kind, so this is not unusual. We're so used to seeing the intense and close relationships between the members that sometimes some folk forget that the whole BTS experience involves and needs so many people in so many different roles, and some don't realise that BTS all have good and affectionate relaitonships with those people too - be they producers, dancers, musicians, managers ... or security. These relationships are a just one of the foundations of BTS' success.
