I think that native speakers rarely ask each other questions like they're learning english, if they do, native speakers would usually answer with short answers. They'll just reply "cos I enjoy it". They won't go into detail for why it motivates them.
Exactly! We are taught to apply many different grammar structures to express an idea with subject and predicate and its complements. An answer like you gave"cos i enjoy it" would be okay but it would be taken as very informal. We are taught how to use "like" , how to strcture "do" with other verbs and so forth. These questions are perfectly structured to spot those things we need to master at that level which is B 1 level. Its exactly what would you be taught if you attended Spanish or Italian classes ( i am guessing you dont know those languages) but yeah ...we are taught to follow certain structures... my vison of English is mathematical! Instead of numbers we use words, particles, prepositons, phrases ect hahhaha😂😊

It's apparent that Fayza was learning a language with exposure to a lot of grammar rules and that's why her speech is coherent, she constructs sentences easily. Stephany, on the other hand, seems to have picked up 'this and that' from natural speech that's why her speech is fragmentary. It shows again that you can not learn a foreign language without grammar.
Grammar it's not everything cause if the problem were only grammar I wouldn't find easy to describe and answer questions by writing down a text, for example my problem in those exams is to be able to respond quickly to these weird questions like "tell me something about a friend of yours" how the hell am I supposed to answer? Even in my main language I wouldn't be able to invent such things
I think it’s the opposite. Fayza was exposed to a lot of natural speeches, that’s why she could construct sentences without thinking. While Stephany is a typical student that learns grammar that it usually takes a long time to put words together.
@@briansun6336 As a teacher with more than 5 years of experience, this is more possible, most of my students who learn English by watching TV shows have better speaking skills than those that have just learned grammar, and it's because the first one "know" that something is wrong when they hear it even if they can't explain it, but those that learned only grammar have a harder time "fixing" and putting the sentences in order, and they rely more on teachers' correction.
@@CristinadelaO of course that is the case. Learning grammar has a negative impact on fluency in almost all cases. It does help in reading materials way above a student’s level though. I'm Rebecca, online name is Moon, my age is almost 11 and I am taking the A2 exam in less than 1 week!
I can give you a few questions.
1 - Where are you from?
2 - What do you mostly like to do in your free time?
3 - What is your favorite food?
4 - Have you ever took a Cambridge test?
5 - Have you been practicing English properly? Are you self-taught?
Thank you Cambridge for liking my comments!!!
Have they passed the exam? I' m a teacher of English and I' m wondering if it can be A2 level...Is this a solid A1 at least? I consider myself to be a demanding teacher ,so this video is inspiring if the answer is " yes".
I've been testing my students on conversations and I would say they passed although it is the bare minimum.
Fayza got a good A2 level, she passed the speaking with just a grade B (133 precisely); while Sthefhany got a middling A2 level, she passed with barely grade C (120, which is the minimum for level A2).
This is really very interesting to me..thanks for sharing :) can you help me learn english language ?
I need someone who speak with me every day 20 minutes🙄
This video is good for me
Thank you ❤❤
It's the good video . Thank you Cambridge English

When i do my A1 life skills test i was so nervous and also i had fever that time.
Faiza ,since I saw you, I can't forget your beautiful eyes, you won since this video began...come on Colombia!!! póngale más ganas!!!!
They are pass in this exam?
Yep
I hope I will be pass
Is this a1 or a2?
A2. They KET is the lowest level exam that Cambridge offers and it tests for A2 proficiency.
I think Sthefhany very nervously when the exminator ask: How often do you see your friends?
Then Sthefhany says: One week, IDK. One month, IDK.
I promise that Sthefhany could practice more English and hope she could have a better score next time.
Don’t say that I disrespect to Sthefhany!!!
