Now the matter is that I have a table chart where I can find the dimension of the rope I have to use going through the pulleys, but to determine the size of the rope that I have to use for the strops (the rope that's wrapped arround the block and usually have a hook attached on an eye), how should I do? Don't worry Paul, yesterday a russian modeller wrote me that the information can be found in the book Historic Ship Models - Wolfram Mondfeld on page 242. The thickness of the strop is approximately equal to the thickness of the rope passing through the block.
That's great news, I happen to live in the city (Fremantle Western Australia) where the full size replica of the Endeavour was built. I watched it built from the keel up. And I was there on launch day. And I have sailed on her.
