must say makeup teams in korea are really advancing the industry in recent years (could top hollywood teams) this is one of the reason why i kept watching the series these days, keep fighting!

Did you watch the drama? If not: She is playing a Model who has became fat and is trying to lose weight again. So that she can fly again. Even if they hired a plus size artist, they need to lose the real weight in a short time for the shoot. Drama production only have few months to shoot the full drama. And losing so much weight in short time is not healthy.
@@prya_raviI think they could’ve just used two actors who look alike, instead of using a fat-suit or making an actor loose a lot of weight in a short time, it’s less work than either of those two things and shouldn’t be too hard, along with the fact that makeup artists can just put makeup on to make the two actresses look more similar
i understand the limitations, like maybe the character has to lose weight, so hiring a plus size actor wouldn’t work but also the fat suit kind of turns me off from watching the show, they always feel like they’re mocking plus sized people, like it’s a costume.
The plus size character is a prominent character in the drama and appears in all episodes. The thin version only appears in flasbacks and likely in the last episode. They hired claudia kim as one of the major supporting cast. If they hired an actual plus-size actor, might as well hire that actor as the main and claudia kim just a cameo, which is a total waste of claudia's acting. Also, i'm pretty sure fat suits or no, it's claudia's awesome acting that matters the most. She's doing awesomely in providing comic relief in the show. Such a truly versatile actress. So no, your suggestion is not feasible and practical.

오오 이분 나오시는 넷플릭스 시리즈 마르코폴로 보시면 연기는 물론 액션까지, 세계 어디에 내놔도 멋진 배우입니다. 저는 그 시리즈 보고 팬이 되었어요. 한국엔 예쁘고 연기 잘하는 여배우 많지만 이정도 키와 영어, 피지컬이 되는 사람은 거의 없지 싶어요.
